SAS has launched an utterly unique promotion, celebrating it's entry into Skyteam - they're offering bonus miles for each Skyteam airline you fly, as the following:

• Fly five different SkyTeam airlines, earn 10,000 SAS EuroBonus bonus points
• Fly 10 different SkyTeam airlines, earn 100,000 SAS EuroBonus bonus points
• Fly 15 different SkyTeam airlines, earn 1,000,000 SAS EuroBonus bonus points

Yep, if you do it in the most efficient way possible, that's 66,666.66.... Eurobonus points per flight guaranteed (assuming you complete the challenge of course)

You have to register through the app and can only have your EuroBonus number on the booking. Award bookings booked via EuroBonus count - basically, there has to be EuroBonus account activity with 15 different airlines in Skyteam. Note that ITA and MEA aren't counted, so it's 15 of a possible 17 Skyteam airlines.

EuroBonus itself isn't the most compelling program out there, but there's solid value in some cases i.e 130,000 EuroBonus miles for SYD-ICN return on Korean (it'd be 78k for a one-way). I'd back that you can get around 1-2c per point in value with relative ease.

Already an extensive thread on Flyertalk with different starting positions, timings and routings. I think someone managed €3000, all economy class. And like 15 separate tickets. So need to add in hotel costs.

China being visa free has certainly helped as there are two PRC and one taiwan carrier? So you can do a bit of a dog leg getting three carrier out of the way.

Don’t rule out fifth freedom flights either. MU and CI both fly AU to AKL so you could knock those two over cheaply with a short trip to AKL
I’ve seriously had a look at this promotion and could make it work but getting leave off between now and the end of the year is more problematic

True! But i think the calculations for the CI and MU flights were really cheap, like less than €100, for travel intra asia. Would be hard going to get that sort of pricing trans tasman.

SkyTeam can be real sticklers for only allowing lounge access if the correct FFP is attached to the booking so just make sure you put your SAS Eurobonus number on after entering the lounge if possible

It'd probably be cheaper to fly around asia on VN too before using Saudia to LHR the whole way.

Just a few problems with this.

Yeah few kinks - what I'm demonstrating is a start for anyone to consider (then begin the fine tuning). I'm just going to get a reward seat back from the states (Qantas or velocity points) once fully qualified from LA. AI isn't perfect yet, but it saves so much time and effort, once I work out my flight plans and dates, I'll then ask it to hit me up with daily itineraries and things to do at each stopover!

Well, I don't know if this is gonna help anyone, but this is something I've cooked up that includes flights on 15 different SkyTeam airlines. There's obviously a few non-Skyteam flights in there, but IMO it turns out cheaper than if you only use Skyteam - this itinerary is definitely not for the faint-hearted (it'd be HLO for sure!). Of course, it would be much easier if you could put the flights all on one ticket, so that I didn't need to leave such lengthy layovers.

Total: $5484 (not including accom, but is including the non-Skyteam positioning flights/train)

See my thoughts were going to The Guide to Sleeping in Airports and figuring out which airports I would be forced to pay for accom

Ah well, its all theoretical, of course. I certainly wouldn't envy the person sitting next to me on those final KE legs, having just spent the last 2 weeks living out of airports and a carry-on backpack!
