10,000 bonus points per 20 transactions

Whilst not impressed with the way in which Amex handled this whole promotion and the debarcle they caused themselves, and to us cardholders, I am happy I have got what I have and will leave it at that.

For those that havent got the latest batch of points I wish you luck, obviously there are channels out there which will offer assistance (given that the only reason I got any points was intervention by the BFSO).

I got more bonus points in December. Again, it is short of what I expected. Will update BFSO on this.

However at least they are looking like they are trying to award the points properly ..... but just some IT stuff up (could be some DB syncing or just programming error).

OK....so who's going to admit they have received over 1,000,000 points from this promo?:mrgreen::shock: Personally, I got enough for a Syd-Bcn (already booked:mrgreen:) and Syd-Sin return SQ flight in Y....not a lot but I'm happy enough:)
 
We've already received enough promotion bonii for ~150K AA miles ...
 
Received 100K points today for December, which exactly matched the number of transactions (100 transactions 1-31 December under 5T/5K). But no points for transactions between 23 September and 30 November...

I've lodged a dispute with FOS and received a call back from Amex's "Executive Office" stating they would look into this. So, fingers crossed it will be sorted out soon...
 
I will not be disputing my number of points with Amex tomorrow. I will also never cancel my Plat Chg card - and that is a cold hard guarantee :shock:

Conversely, if that was the case - someone could sue Amex if their taxi was involved in an accident on the way to the airport for a flight that was paid for by Amex points.

Or sue because their wife left them due to them not being able to get a holiday organised with Amex points.

This is the ridiculous level of "blame sharing" that I think is not right...
 
So far the bonus points I have received for Sep, Oct, Nov are accurate assuming I am on the 10T/5K promotion as per letter in October. Today I received triple the bonus points I should have received in December. :shock:

A pleasant surprise and I will be more than happy if the bonus points posted are not POCed from my Amex MR account. :o :)
 
Hmmm...paid for the December portion, but again somewhat about half the points I think I'm entitled to. It's as if I was on the 10T/5k promotion, rather than my original 5T/5k. I haven't received any letter to the effect that I was supposed to be on a different plan.

A sizeable number of points but still, I had designs on what I could do with the rest. :) We'll see what happens in due course, but perhaps a call to Amex will be warranted...
 
Ive received points catch up for December and received 10,000 points less that what I thought.... but received 20,000 more than I thought for November... So really, I am not going to complain or call anyone.

Agree the promo was run pretty badly, but I am just glad that I only have a 10,000 points discrepancy from what I calculated I might get, and what I got... but then again, who says my calculations were correct :shock:

I hope everyone gets their business sorted out without having to get too nasty :)

Just like simongr, I will not be calling Amex, I will not be canceling my Plat Charge Card... but I will be looking at the best way to maximize my chances of getting my wife and I to Aspen or Paris in J after being able to secure 450 odd thousand points through this promotion :D

No December points for me yet (on 5T/5K).

Haven't received enough points for Sept/Oct.
Have received less than 1/2 the points I'm eligible for in November.
Haven't received anything for December.

It will be an interesting wait for "the letter" which several of us are reported to be receiving late this week or early next week.

Exactly what I was expecting

Now the big decision! What to do with them.
Maybe I could sue Amex over the stress they are going to cause when planning my next holiday:mrgreen:

Just under 1/2 that amount all up.

Could have had approx 750,000 if I wasnt suspended from 5/5 offer in October as we slowed spending on the card until late November when after intervention from BFSO it was confirmed I was back on 5/5 promo.
 
Great to see points coming through...........but not near the amount of transactions i have made. Maybe only half...........
