Had another handful of points given to me today; this one is marked for November. That makes two "points credit" lines for November.

Still only just over a shade half of the points I'm owed for that month, although the multiple deposits of points is both puzzling yet promising.

Yay, a 2nd line for Nov has posted to my account... another 20K points! :p

So that makes the Nov total 70K.

Now where's the 2nd line for Dec...

I wonder how many people will be redeeming their points quick smart just in case a second round of POCing commences?
I am waiting. I would rather be POCed than have a negative MR balance for a few years....

Hi Guys
I've been following this forum for quite a while now.
Just letting you know that I have sinced received all (Sept, Oct, Nov & Dec) AMEX reward points.
Received Final Dec. lot today, received Nov. lot a few days ago.

*Background History*
- Wasnt targetted
- Didnt receive postcard invitation
- Signed up on 19 Sept, via online website
- Signed up to only 1 promo 'MyReward' 5000 points per 5 tx.
- Didnt get POCed
- Received Letter stating changing to 5000 points per 10 tx.
- Later received apology letter "Error', after calling up to enquire about letter.

Very pleased with end result.

Today's allocation of NOV points has now seen the correct points allocation for 10/5 promo for November. But September and October still incorrect.

Apparently, complaints regarding promo enrolment are only considered once a week (Wednesdays) by the faceless/nameless "back office" people when they have a meeting to consider them. So I won't hear back regarding the 10/5 vs 5/5 until after next Wednesday.

Well it may be for some.

However in my case I was postacrded as 5k/5 and also received an Oct letter confirming me as being in 5k/5.

So my mystery letter "should" have different content...

With no points posting unlike Gogo65 who is suspended but has gained 800,000 points I am supecting my letter will be a negative one.

Lovestravellingoz,

Sorry to hear you haven't received any points as yet.

Like you I received a postcard 5k/5, enrolled early so was uncapped.
Received a letter 24/12 suspending us from the promotion,
sent a letter to Amex 27/12 and have heard nothing since, except received bonus points on 31/12,3/2 and 4/2. We have now received all our points.

Still not had any correspondence from Amex though and probably a little reluctant to move any points until I receive that letter.

Good luck.

Well, rang amex.

Dispute has been logged, i hear in "7-10 days" - this is getting stupid and i'm getting to the point of moving my business elsewhere.

By my calculations, I'm owed somewhere in the vicinity of 150000 - 200000 pts.

If Amex's credit department heard as many excuses about broken deadlines, I wonder how trusting they'd be.

Based on the promotion that Amex unilaterally and retrospectively placed me on (10/5) I am still owed half of my November balance. I haven't received any for December and am still owed more than half of my points for Sep and Oct. The liability will be doubled when they change me back to 5/5. I haven't called since lodging the dispute with FOS because I know the phone calls don't achieve squat. Still, I'll call them tomorrow to remind them.

After all, I have to send my family to Disney. We haven't been in 18 months and my kids don't deserve to live like the lumpenproletariat just because Amex is ripping me off (it's not just flights either, I'm also missing out on entries into lotteries and bonus points!). And besides, little Johnny is nearly two and he has never travelled in F (well, not to the US anyway) - can you believe it?!

Conversely, if that was the case - someone could sue Amex if their taxi was involved in an accident on the way to the airport for a flight that was paid for by Amex points.
Well no, this is a ridiculous suggestion.

Or sue because their wife left them due to them not being able to get a holiday organised with Amex points.

This is the ridiculous level of "blame sharing" that I think is not right...

AMEX would have no problem showing there were other reason/problems that caused the wife to leave.

But your right, these are ridiculous suggestions. There is no direct connect between the loss, there is no consideration to other protential causes and there is not consideration to other direct sources of compensation like the taxi's insurance.

Anyway, I'm glad everyone seems to be getting some points in now.

Not true (as noted)

This is because you have been POC'ed or multi-enrolled.

Not true - i enrolled ONCE, on 5/5, WITH postcard.

I have received 2 lots of 10k and nothing else (owed somewhere btween 150000 and 200000)

Wow, that is a pretty broad statement. My husband and I (different cards) have received all points till end of Dec but I'll continue to follow this thread to see what happens to the people still waiting. Amex are probably still working on allocating some points (I got 2 issues for one month on the same day) others could have have simply "fallen through the cracks" and others are waiting for information about disputes.

I'm grateful this is over for us but I think it may have been different without the work, actions and relay of information from contributors to this thread. I'm grateful to them. Thanks guys.

I do blame Amex for putting out an offer that was not controlled. They are responsible for the results of the offers that they made.

I have not quoted the rest of your post as it was rude and offensive in the main.

I'm glad that harrykewell's post was redacted - whilst it wouldn't be right to try to paraphrase it again, I do think it was dramatically against the spirit of AFF - this is a board where people share information and it's usually to everyone's benefit - for someone to have got their points and then blame the reason that someone else hasn't got points to be because they are personally to blame when American Express have shown so many inconsistencies throughout this promotion is beyond me.

I'm very glad you got your points. I have been getting points also. But I want to make sure that EVERYONE gets all their points that are owed to them under the T&C of the promotion. That's why I'm here - I'll get points, and by the collaboration, hopefully all of us will.

I'm disappointed, really, harrykewell.

Hear, Hear! Thanks to the mods for taking prompt action on the post.

Agree beardoc. Many people would not have known about this promo if not for this board, so I especially took offence to the comment that as he had all his points he was off. Not in the spirit of the board IMO.
