Well, I certainly had some reading to catch up on this afternoon from this thread.

Looks like all my bonus transactions have finally posted

Code:
Month Transactions Points Credited Points Owed
September^ 23 10,000 0 +
October 70 35,000 0 ~
November 102 50,000 0 =
December# 142 70,000 0 &

^ from date of registration (18/9)
# up to and including 31/12. Still have 2 or 3 to post. Goal is 150, so I almost made it [That would make an overall target of 165K bonus points]
+ Points owed were 5,000 but paid on 10/12
~ Points owed were 35,000 but 10,000 paid on 10/12 and 25,000 on 31/12
= Points owed were 50,000 and paid 40,000 on 3/2 and 10,000 on 5/2
& Points owed were 70,000 and paid 70,000 on 4/2

So I've received everything I expected for the whole promotion. I'm glad it's now over and I can return to normal. Dismal administration of the program and process, but I'm still using the card (but nowhere near as much).

Heve to agree that it will be a while before Amex venture back to the market with such a promo - I can only imagine how precise their Legal team should be asking for the T&C's to be if they do....

The end of feb is completely consistent with the T&Cs

It is for points earnt 10 weeks prior.

T&C would allow points to be awarded 10 weeks after Dec31 for points earnt on that day. ie after end of Feb.

However my issue is that many have not been awarded all the points owed to date...ie today minus 10 weeks.

I didn't earn 1 Million points, only 540k,:) but because I was able to sign up for the MYREWARD promo with my QF Premium Amex, I'll have 540,000 entries in the QFF Million point lottery:shock:.

QANTAS Lottery T&C
have the points credited^ to your account between 1 December 2008 and 31 March 2009

So Amex in your case have done you a favour by awarding the points slowly. By getting them all (or most of them post Dec1) you have maximised your lottery entries. ;)

The reason why so many people including me have recieved points labelled "NOV" and "DEC," but are still way short of the total points they are meant to recieve is called damage control.
The people who complain will recieve their remaining points. The people who don't, won't! ;)

I have not contacted Amex at any stage though this, yet, have received significant point credit anyway.

Maybe I have cruised on the coat tails of those who have had dialogs with Amex, if so, so be it.

I hope you are right. I also have recieved significant points transfers with little communication with AMEX. Yet I am still due to recieve about 150,000 and I was told I would get them by end of Jan. Must admit, I doubt they will credit without a phone call to them.
Personally I don't blame them if this is their tactic. If they save 100,000 points form 1000 people, they save a Billion points! Poor AMEX probably dont want to go broke!! Although that would not be very ethical and hope they will honour their corporate social responibility.

u are wrong! i received 5k points short in nov, 2 days later, 5k deposit again under nov.

so u will get your points, if not, then give amex a call.

So far as I was assured many times by MRewards personnel, Amex knew how many bonuses everyone was owed in total for Sept Oct November and December. Amex Aust then ordered them all from the USA for handing out by 31st January.

Later some claim they've recieved up to 3 times their entitlement wheras others report nil or under payments. Some say September bonuses are still unpaid. Ditto for other months. More recently the MR Lass decided I should get 4k more for a month because a) she ran out of fingers, and b) her circuitous maths of E=Mc2 happens to be 1000 bonuses per tx.

So if the beancounters are overpaying, maybe there's a massive shortfall in the kitty to hand out to the remaining enrollees.

Something is wrong

Ok, I've done a transaction count.

If it's based on the 5K/10T (as per the Amex letter moving me to another promotion), then I'm paid the correct number of points, but if 5K/5T as per the Amex apology letter dated 12 December 2008, then I've only been paid slightly less than half of my entitlement.

How about the people who have received more bonus points than their entitlement? I hope Amex does not take these bonus points away. :(

Well I guess we all have our own (vested) points of view.;)

Mine is that I hope Amex pays out at least everyone's entitlement....which for many at present has not happened.

Please do not misunderstand my statement and in the context it was written.

I sincerely hope everyone receives their entire bonus points entitlement for this promotion....

Transfer them all out now and close your amex account :)

Interesting. I did not see your post yesterday........but where you not questioning the actions of some members and not so complimentary about their actions?

So interesting that you are now advocating for people to breech T&C.

Amex from the T&C would seem to be implying that members who transfer points that they should not have gained as being inappropriate.

It is probably worth noting that transfered points can be retrieved.

So I would recommend that any member who has received "extra" points think long and hard before transferring them....and if the amount of points is only small % wise that you perhaps wait a while.

I may have received more bonus points than I think I should have received but for all I know I may have been put back on to the 5T/5K promotion, which I should have been on in the first place, and in that case I have not received enough bonus points. I am quite happy not knowing why and it is not playing on my conscience in any way and I am able to sleep at nights. I would be very disappointed if the bonus points were taken away though.

Anyway I have no intention of moving points out of MR as I have not yet decided when or where they will go.

Interestingly I moved 11K out of my account on Friday so that there would be enough points for upgrades SYD-AKL/WLG-SYD (a trip now postponed I think). Normally those points would be in the QF account almost immediately but nothing has been deposited as yet...

PS: some in there used maths for 5/5 promo as follows

(Example)

101,000 purchases in a month divided by 5 = 20.2 batchs x 5000 = 101,000 bonuses. I wasn't very good at maths but is this the same as 1000 boni per purchase?

Vet, good question. My understanding is you have to have completed the full 5 transactions to receive the 5,000 points, so although the earn is technically 1000:1, you need to bear this is mind when doing your own count.

I transferred points on a Friday last month and it didn't appear in my QF account until Monday
