Rodgerbrance: You really don't read what people say do you ? So I have made some simple points for you
1. AMEX didn't specify the min transaction value for each "eligible transaction". If I decide to purchase a drink and pay via AMEX that should count.
2. Why do you ALWAYS talk about the Qantas FF program ? Not everyone is going to put their points towards that program
3. Who cares about the example given on the website, that example is simple an example and not a true representation of all users.
4. AMEX are not going to point to that example and say you need to follow that or you won't get points.
5. Yes 40k in points is nice, but not was was offered on the postcard, it clearly said UNLIMITED
6. You said "
The quickest and cheapest way to earn FF points Was and is and will always be Flying" - Nope not correct I charge many thousands of business expenses to my AMEX which I don't personally pay for and I get free flights out of it. So no need to fly to get free flights.
7. You said "QFF program will become a laugh (SPEND 100 x $2 in shopping and get a Free Return Air Ticket to USA) Com'n" - The Qantas program has pretty much always been a laugh with its high points needed for travel. Many other better programs out there, but for those they fly to the USA alot Qantas still has the edge.
8. You said "
There is not such a thing as GET A FREE ROUND THE WORLD FARE by shopping at TARGET and KMART 100 times aweek..." - How is that so ? I could spend $1,000 a month at these shops and have a free trip in a few years
Once again this is not all about Qantas!
