I have just noticed that in March of this year, I ticked over 10 years reading and posting on AFF, having been introduced to these fora by one QF WP, and I signed up on 11 March 2003! My first post on AFF was this one (I think):
http://www.australianfrequentflyer....rred-guest-promotion-50-a-4742.html#post57721

What an addictive and positive learning experience it has been, not to mention meeting all these travel loving people that my +1 would describe, including myself, as being "mad about travel"

Apart from admin, who are the 10+ years AFF posters who are still active here?

These are the suspects that I can identify (with some help)!

QF WP (joined 20 June 2002)
oz_mark (joined 30 June 2002)
dajop (joined 1 July 2002)
drron (joined 4 July 2002)
basso (joined 15 September 2002)
Rick93 (joined 10 November 2002)
thadocta (joined 8 January 2003) (not active since 26/6/13)
straitman (joined 27 April 2003)
moa999 (joined 23 June 2003)

Who have I missed?

My AFF join Date is 17th May 2006
But I joined FT on 28th Apr 2001 (and about 2 hours before SEAT 2A by our ID numbers 6129 vs 6135 )
I do remember reading both sites at the same time and finding a link from one site to the other (not sure which was first)

http://www.australianfrequentflyer.com.au/community/members/thadocta.html joined 8th January 2003 (#3576)
http://www.australianfrequentflyer.com.au/community/members/basso.html joined 15th September 2002 (#3539)

Before the software changes you could use your ID number to find members. Still works on FT if you have the correct text string.
kpc is number 3615 on AFF (visible when sending PM)

Well spotted and I even had another username before that. 10 years and still so much to learn!

10 years on AFF

Happy anniversary to me! :p

Thanks to everyone who has given me help and FF tips over the years. I've learned a lot, gained status I thought was unattainable and, most importantly, I've met some great people along the way. Looking forward to seeing some of you tonight :)

Who else has been around here for a decade or more?

Re: 10 years on AFF

Re: 10 years on AFF

A bit over 10 myself and with about the same posting rate. Good work.

Re: 10 years on AFF

Well done Anna ... 10 years posting along with being a regular contributor is pretty good.

For my own part I have only just over 10 years here myself, joining November 2004.

Re: 10 years on AFF

Congrats Anna. 10 years for me in March (would need to check exact date). Have learned heaps and had fun along the way.
