Thanks in advance =)

Isn't it better to have a few big cards with lots of points than lots of small cards (free annual fee) with small point bonuses. I"m new to this so please help me correct my understanding if i'm wrong. Thanks .
Also how long does it take for the points to come in after meeting the pre spend?
I'm happy to spend $400 on 100k QF points. I would assume it is better than getting the same number of points by applying for multiple cards and a bit less in annual fees..
I'm starting to think I can't go back to long haul international Y even if it seems like I live in Y domestically
Apart from domestic Y bargains like MEL_CNS redeemed on VA through Krisflyer as a Partner Award I buy Y as the flights are normally dirt cheap and normally 2 hours or less.
Long Haul these days is J or F only and long may that remain so.
Hopefully the CC points do not substantially dry up too much later this year due the reduced bank interchange. It certainly makes sense to grab all the ff points one can at present though.
I had the 50k points posted to my account this month. I called up Westpac today to ask what had happened to the remaining 50k points. The phone operator asked if I had signed up to the "Point Hacks" promotion, which I said yes (Keith I note your comment that this is not exclusive), and he said the points post in two 50k lots. It wasn't quite clear if the first 50k is posted after the first $2.5k and the next 50k posted after the final $2.5k, but maybe this is how it works. I will wait until my next statement before following it up again.
I asked if there was any way her could double-check on his system whether the promotion/referral code had registered properly, but he indicated that it was not possible from his end. I definitely remember seeing the 100,000 points banner on the official Westpac sign up page so will have to follow up again if theres' been a problem at their end.

I obviously do not know what you saw when you joined...but the current 100,000 general offer (ie not The Points Hacks one as that was only one of many sites seeking to gain revenue from the offer) has 100,000 in large print at the top of the page but when you scroll down and read the fine print it has;
The bonus Qantas or Altitude Points will be credited to your points balance in two increments - 50,000 and then 50,000 - within 60 days after the eligible spend criteria being met.
