100,000 velocity points for velocity platinum amex with referral

I don't think I have ever had the sign on bonus confirmed on paper. That's where screen shots come in handy. Whichever offer you signed on for will usually show on AMEX quite quickly. Banks take a lot longer.

I received my card, but there is no mention of the 100,000 points when I spend $2,000.

I had this card before, but I can't remember if any of the literature that arrived with the card mentioned the bonus points, or do they just appear when you make the minimum spend without any mention of them beforehand.

I wouldn't worry, of the last three AMEX cards I have applied for none of them have had the bonus points mentioned on the paperwork that comes with the card. All the bonus points have credited fine though .

If you closed the account more than 12 months ago and don't have another AMEX issued card that is direct earn for Velocity I have full confidence you will receive the bonus points.

Dammit I missed this one. How often has the 100k + 60k offers come around.

I was hoping to apply for myself, then refer my partner. (100k + 60k + 100k) = 260k points.

I missed it and now I hear it's 80k + 20k.

The 100k+ pts sign on bonus has come around twice in the history of the card (the first offer was 110k). For the rest of the time it has been less than 100k, 80k has been pretty common (which is what it is currently - as you said).

The 3x referral bonus offer that ran in July was a first for AMEX as far as I can remember - usually it is 20k for this card (which it is currently). Who can say if they'll offer the 3x referral bonus again.

After you pay your annual fee. They are a little flexible, eg if you wanted to travel with someone else, if you get approval, they may allow you to hold over the 1st year's flight to take two seats together.

Yep each card anniversary year.
