$1300 return tickets to SE Asia in J! $1700 to North Asia such as Japan. Won't get it any cheaper, unfortunate it is only valid for another 4 hours!
I have 10 mins before my next appt and rushing and then no online access for 4 hours. So, a quick Q .... I have 30K miles, how many could be a good buy to make another 'nearby by' trip, apart from NZ which the 30K will do?
Thanks for some quick ideas.

OK that's OK too How about SIN?
IIRC there is no SQ flights available so you will end up via BKK as the most likely route with TG. At $1300-$1400 is good value for J but then again, parts of me say I can do get to SIN for $400 flying Scoot and have $900 per person as play money. Travelling as a couple, which I do, that's $1800 for lots of fun on the ground.
You can get SQ but you have to call up now, none of it online, and for the Australia routes you will only be able to do it within 14 days of travel due to SQ's restrictions they brought in a few months back.
Just bought some miles. Anyone had any luck actually getting SQ flights 14 days out?
I believe you can get SQ J more than 14 days out but you simply have to call up as they won't display availability online.
Well, as I was rushing I stuffed up. I actually had 30K US Airways miles, not UA miles. So now, I have 30K each in UA and USA instead of 60 in UA.
I had said to myself some time ago not to buy any more, and I should have stuck to it. If you have any ideas on using these 2 small parcels plse adv.
I bought 20,000 miles while the bonus was 100% however only 20,000 has been credited - not 40,000? Anyone else get issues with crediting the miles?
Well you can now get a one way from Aus to say Bangkok in Business class for your 30k United miles. Your 30k US miles will get you return business class anywhere in Oceania. The best deal would be doing something like Auckland to Broome return in Business class. There have been some reports of people being able to wrangle stopovers as well on these kind of bookings which technically aren't allowed.
