Credit Card Offers 100k Velocity points offer with ANZ Platinum card (apply by 15/11/24)

Looking at the definition of 'government charges', it's expansive.

It's also worth noting that BPay and Billpay transactions are excluded too.

Anyhow, have a look at clause 7 of the T&Cs.

Thanks mate , I have not done any Bpay/Billpay transactions. I think their calculations are screwed and doesn't make any sense. If not for the velocity points , I would not even want to use that card.

Will I get this bonus if i still hold the ANZ Adventure Travel card?
My understanding is that the ANZ Travel Card is under the same program as the ANZ Rewards Platinum so I'd think no bonus will be awarded.

ANZ Adventure Travel Card uses the same Rewards website that you need to use to enrol into Velocity automatic point transfers.

ANZ only has Frequent Flyers (Qantas) and Rewards (Velocity and others) for point-earning credit cards.

After another long drawn out approval process, the card was approved and then arrived last Thursday.
Paid a few bills and stuff. Points email arrived Wednesday. Paid it off an cancelled it today.

Normally I would feel a bit guilty about this. However ANZ verification team would have to be one of the most inept, useless and incompetent departments I have ever dealt with.
In my opinion they deserve to have their points harvested blatantly. If they made an effort to look after their customers perhaps they would have less churners.

I might be lucky then: applied, provided whatever they asked, approved and got the cards 2 weeks later. Got my 1st statement, and re-reading the T&C carefully, and I realised I was charged $65 for secondary card, called them up and few minutes later, 2nd card was cancelled, money returned after few hours, bonus points arrived few days earlier.

Will cancel the card soon.
