What's the latest on mask mandates folks? I'm doing PER xADL to MEL thursday and am not up to speed on the current impositions. Thanks

There is a mask mandate here in Spain for indoors and public transport. Virtually only the staff abide by it. On busses nearly everyone gets on wearing a mask but then takes it off within a minute. No policing of it apart from entry. It will end up the same in Australia.

90-95% compliance in Melbourne on public transport. There are occasional checks by authorised officers who hand out masks to the couple of people without them.

It’s already heading that way in SYD. I suspect the mandate will go with winter departing.

It’s mandated in public transport in SA but the Acting Premier said they don’t have enough police now to enforce it. They are starting to hand them out at bus stops.

Unfortunately common sense is not compulsory when out and about.

Good to see quite a few people wearing masks in the Brisbane area. Some will never learn no matter what.

Just wondering what the current status is for wearing masks on International flights?
We are heading to the USA on UA in November, I know over there they scrapped them for Domestic flights, but wasn't sure about International.
Also wondering if my kids need to wear them (ages 4 and 6) on the flights.

and it’s gone. Well, going.

They specified domestic flights. Some outbound international already gone - assume this means all inbound international still require masks? (Which makes absolutely no sense, since generally there’s more covid per capita in Australia than many other countries)

The gist of this specific thread was Dom flights but you’d expect inbound Int to follow suit?

Sep 9 I think it's lifted. But I'm more than happy to wear a mask.

This was the case when i flew in form Dallas yesterday, crazy as you don't have to wear a mask in the airport; and because the person with obvious symptoms on the flight was under 12 so exempt and maskless whilst they coughed prolifically for the entire 16+ hour flight, woke me up several times.

Outbound has to wear one SYD-SIN (as that is a SIN requirement) but not from SIN-LHR or any other flight i did internationally until the flight back to Aus.

Thankfully no masks required to Singapore any more

They are removing the mask mandate in Germany too apparently (according to One Mile at a time).
