Mask Mandates on Aircraft?

Was on QF500 this morning and don't think I saw a single mask worn except for one flight attendant. Certainly no time being waste by people.

Bali (well Indonesia) yes. Including in the airport. I wasn’t allowed into CGK without digging one out. Qantas semi-enforced it inbound to Jakarta.

Off the top of my head (and from recent experience), maskless flights will be:

- USA
- Singapore
- Fiji
- South Africa
- UK
- Most of continental Europe

Required for;

- Indonesia
- UAE
- New Zealand

Might be time for a rolling updated list. Surely makes SQ more appealing than EK for trips to Europe

If you can buy a tix in Premium Cabins - I need fly home from FRA on Mar 31 but cannot buy SQ F for a week either side but can get EK - no masks when drinking so non issue there 👍😎

Also required for Canada, to and from, and given my experience last month on four international sectors, it will be strictly enforced in both directions.

I’m flying Qatar to Rome via Doha in a couple of weeks. Anyone done the Sydney to Doha route recently and are masks still required.
I’m assuming the Doha/Rome flight will be mask free due to Italian mask mandates being lifted.
We are in QSuites where I’ve read no mask needed ?

Was on a flight from Syd / Hba, saw 3 masks… that was it. Amazing how quickly people ditched them.

I just flew syd-doh-lhr. They say you need a mask for all Qatar flights but I found that I could go without a mask as soon as I was in my seat.

Just flew BER-LCY a few days ago. No mask until you get on the S-Bahn, where masks are compulsory. Get off at BER T1-2, go through security etc - no masks. Get on plane - masks compulsory. On-off-on-off!

There appear to be two similar threads on this but just for the sake of completeness here as well: Canada dropped their requirement today effective October 1.

Canada finally dropped their mask mandate today: https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/arrivecan-border-covid-end-1.6595710

AC has already come out with a statement "welcoming" the end of the mandate (Air Canada Welcomes Government of Canada Decision to Lift Mask, Testing and ArriveCan Requirements), so I'd say it's safe to say Canada will look like Australia from October 1.
i think it is time for Canada to rejoin the many countries of the world in the removing of compulsory masking in flights... I of course respect the wishes of those who still want to use it, but now it should be personal choice rather than government mandates

In regards to Germany I can confirm that currently masks required on LH flights.
Must wear from boarding gate to disembarking the aircraft.
4 sectors this week with 100% enforcement.
