Velocity Double Status Credits July/August 2023

Does this also work for flights booked through business flyer so long as the personal account has activated the promo before booking?

Does this work under family pooling too? If I add my child to my account under family pooling, and we fly together, do I get their double status credits too?

Yes, you can always pool and this doesn't impact double status offers.

Yes, so long as both accounts have been registered then both will get DSC and the pooling will transfer their SC’s to you (and points if you’ve opted for both to transfer)

My first post here. I had some trips booked for August. I've gone and cancelled them and rebooked them at the higher cost to avail of the DSC.
Did you have any trouble cancelling and rebooking? Did you rebook the same flights? I remember trying to do that once (for the same reason) and when trying to rebook kept getting an error that I already had a booking on that flight even though I'd cancelled it. I think I ended up having to call up to rebook.

And of course welcome 😄

Thank you :)

No trouble whatsoever. The credits posted immediately to my Travel Bank and I just paid the difference using a CC. I just made sure the cancellation had completed and the credits were in my Travel Bank before re-booking.

I did rebook the same flights. Being ADL based, they were both ADL CBR runs via MEL. Even at the higher cost of approximately $1000 for 440SC, that works out to $2.27/SC which is exceptional value IMHO.

Thank you so much for your reply. I'm just going to do the same thing with the 2 ret flights I have coming up. I really can't change the dates because I have non refundable show tix booked. The things we do for some extra SC haha 😂

EDIT: Oh bugger I forgot I had already changed the first flight once so I'd have to forfeit $99 to cancel that one. It's only ROK - BNE ret so dunno if it's worth an extra 30 SC for $99 ya reckon?? I'm not up on what SC are worth per $$. I haven't made any changes on the other flight though so I'll go cancel and rebook that one.

EDIT again: Oh fork - ya kitten me - really. I thought choice fares were fee free cancellations up to 14 days before flights - or is that CHANGES. Oh bugger. Looks like I'll just leave things as they are then o_O  sux2bme. My son has another show he's stage managing in December - tix not on sale yet but at least I know the dates so I'll just book the flights. Just waiting for him to let me know if the show will be in Canberra as well as Bris - might go to Canberra if so for the DSC.

are flights booked using promo codes valid for DSC?
There is no mention of promo codes in the T&C and when VA did the previous promo, I booked all my flights using the promo code and got the DSCs ... so I'd say that flights booked using promo codes are valid for DSC ... unless there is something that I have missed?

Yes that has happened to me, but I found the way around it (if it's business class) is to make a new booking for another departure time/date for the same routing at the same fare and it'll then allow you to change to the original flight with no fees...
