For many years, Velocity has offered bonus points when transferring credit card points into Velocity every May and November.

Like clockwork, this offer is back again for November this year - but it's a bit different this time.

In past offers, you would typically receive the bonus points within a few days of making the transfer.

This time, you have to either opt-in to Auto Transfers or manually transfer points at least once during November, December and January (three months in a row) to receive 20% bonus points. The bonus points will arrive by 29 February 2024, so there's quite a delay.

Though 20% for 3 months is much better than usual 15% for one month. I’m pretty happy with that.

On post 1 from @Mattg I see the following in the url shortcut box:

…note the dates. Velocity means fast stepping back in time.

I have had to screenshot the post as if I click the link that text box doesn’t appear and I can only see the correct dates on the Velocity page, so I guess they fixed it.

The old copy pasta strikes again.

The above photo looks more interesting to me😁

I've just transferred some from Amex and the points appeared in my Velocity account instantly but with a date of 31 October so I may have to repeat just in case

A little annoying that it requires making a transfer 3 months in a row. I was hoping to ditch my current ANZ rewards card in the next month and sign up for something else.
Looks like auto-transfer doesn't have the same 3 month requirement... I too want to ditch my ANZ card so I'm going to setup auto-transfer to trigger tomorrow for the 20% bonus

Ahh right you are! Good pick up! I’m due to have a statement issued in the next few days which likely contains a signup bonus so will switch to auto-transfer right now!

This is interesting, ive been holding onto the St George Amplify after the devaluation and sitting on a number of points (the birthday10% bonus landed recently) - so now i want to close it ASAP.

Enabling auto-transfer is the quickest way to transfer the entire balance for the 20% immediately to then close it seems?

In the past , the bonus points landed instantaneously so will be interesting to see if its delayed this time around. I have just signed up for the Amplify Signature card , now should be aiming to meet the spend criteria at the earliest to make use of this offer.

Really wish I'd thought of this before transferring this morning... Guess I'm stuck with this card until Feb

If all credit cards are given the same bonus , will there be any different bonus for Amex Plat Charge as in the past when all other transfers were given 15% , Amex MR was given 20% bonus points.

Looks like in the FAQs for the manual transfer option you don't need to transfer from the same provider each of the 3 months - 20% bonus Velocity Points
  • Can I Manually Transfer from different Participating Partners during the Promotion Period?

Yes, if you manually transfer from one of the Participating Partners in November, you can choose to transfer from this partner again, or from different Participating Partners in December and January.

Could be handy if you're planning on churning?

Each transfer for a period of 3 months will receive the 20% bonus. You only need to have one transfer or as many as like.

I don't think that's correct, is it (unless you mean as many as you like, each month)?

From the promo page:

You can earn 20% bonus Velocity Points when you choose to manually transfer your credit card reward points to Velocity, from participating manual partners this November, December and January - transfer in all 3 months to be eligible.*

*Manual Transfer Offer Terms and Conditions
Velocity members will receive 20% bonus Velocity Points when they manually transfer eligible points from Participating Partners to Velocity into Velocity Points at least once each calendar month, for three consecutive months, between 1 November 2023 and 31 January 2024 (“Promotion Period”). Minimum points transfer required, transferred in each transaction. Members must initiate a points transfer in each of the three calendar months to meet the offer requirements.

Yeah correct. I forgot to mention auto transfers. The rules are different for manual.

Turn on Auto Transfer with the below Participating Partners any time between 1 November 2023 – 31 January 2024 to earn 20% bonus Points on all transfers made during the Promotion Period~

~Auto-Transfer Offer Terms and Conditions

Velocity members will receive 20% bonus Velocity Points when they opt in to Auto-Transfer on their eligible credit card with their Participating Partner and automatically transfer points from their Participating Partner to Velocity into Velocity Points between 12:00am AEST 1 November 2023 and 11:59pm AEST 31 January 2024 (“Promotion Period”). Minimum points transfer required, transferred in one transaction. “Participating Partners” are: ANZ Rewards, ANZ Business Rewards, NAB Rewards, St.George Amplify Rewards, BankSA Amplify Rewards and Bank of Melbourne Amplify Rewards. A Velocity member can transfer multiple times during the Promotion Period.

Damn. I have a pile of ANZ reward points waiting for the November bonus but I want to make a points booking next week, which means I’m snookered as the bonus points don’t come till Jan.
