Velocity 20% bonus points on transfers offer - November 2023 to January 2024

Damn. I have a pile of ANZ reward points waiting for the November bonus but I want to make a points booking next week, which means I’m snookered as the bonus points don’t come till Jan.
The T&C’s state that but usually instant.

I was holding out for a promo like this for my massive balance in St George Amplify Rewards.

It'll take a bit of work, but luckily for me I'm in no hurry to close the card yet as I'm holding out for Birthday Bonus before calling curtains on it.

Hmm I literally just got the NAB Rewards as churner and set it up for velocity auto on 30 Oct 🙄. I assume its for new auto’s setup during the promo period.

As long as the transfer happens after 30th October. Which it will do, reading some forums apparently NAB Auto Transfers every Monday at 9AM AEST.

Just transferred 50k from ANZ, received 25k VFF points instantly. No bonus, as T&Cs say they will come after the 3 mth promo.

Was that a manual transfer? To get the bonus points for manual transfers you must transfer during each of the three months.

Yes, that's right. That was my point replying to your post about "usually instant."
Was it a manual transfer though? You wont get bonus points until you have made at least one transfer in November, December and January if it was manual.

I've just transferred some from Amex and the points appeared in my Velocity account instantly but with a date of 31 October so I may have to repeat just in case
I had the same issue. I transferred 200k points from citi yesterday 1 Nov, around noon AEDT after the promo emails came out.

However, in my app the transfer date is showing as 31 Oct.

What's best channel to escalate?

I don't feel like leaving 40k velocity points on the table because someone set the time/date in their software system wrong.

So I've turned on the auto transfer yesterday for the first transfer to occur today and no bonus has been given automatically, pts are dated 2/11 so no issues with transfer dates like others.

T&C's state that "Bonus Points will be allocated the member's Velocity account by 29 February 2024." I really hope it won't take 4 months for them to come in....

Velocity is usually pretty good at not releasing transfer promo details until all time zones has ticked over to the 1st day of the month. Not sure if they did it early this time or if the blogs leaked it early.

If you turn on auto transfer, can you then turn it off again? I couldn’t see anything in the FAQ that prevented this? Or stopping the BP being issued if you did stop it?

I hope not, and nothing in T&C to suggest that. The minimum monthly auto-transfer period means that a manual transfer would be needed to mop up excess points at end of Jan. Though perhaps you can also do additional manual transfers with auto-transfer staying on. I’ll try it next month when my points build up again.

Just to clarify, if you do an auto transfer then the bonus points will arrive straight away or after the 3 months?

It doesn’t seem clear on that, but definitely not straight away, as I auto-transferred and only got base points. So whether delayed a little, or till Feb, remains to be seen. I suspect the latter.

I turned on auto transfer from anz rewards and received only base points. I expect to wait some time for the bonus.

I realised they were Westpac Altitude points so it was manual transfer only as per the T&C's

Just want to clarify with someone better at math than myself.

Now that St George and AMEX have devalued Krisflyer conversion from 2:1 to 3:1, if you still have points in those cards is it better to use this promotion and then put the future KF miles in a holding pattern in your Velocity account?

Velocity converts to Krisflyer at 1.55 : 1

But I get fuzzy at the 20% bonus and what the end result is.

What puts a real spanner in the works is not being able to use Expertflyer to search for star alliance reward seats going forward. Without this amazing tool I'd never have been able to redeem my 280k KF star alliance RTW ticket in July/aug 2023.

My only backup is that I know a guy who has a travel agency side hustle and I have seen he has some app that can also find I class using +/- 3 days, like ExpertFlyer via some DOS based looking system.

I have found some cheap economy seats to USA using some really old AAdavantage miles I have, and will use them to fly cattle class to get to Sth America and back for 2024 instead of Star Alliance.

I transferred some Amex reward points on saturday and the points posted within 15 minutes. However the bonus points are not posted yet , this is the first time I am experiencing delay in points being posted.

Did anyone have luck with bonus points from the latest 20% offer ? Thanks
