It seems that Jetstar isn't offering the Max bundle anymore instead theres now a "Flex plus".

The big difference is now you don't seem to earn SC/Points at QF Flex but only QF disc Y. This does mean some extremely attractive SC per $ offerings are now gone.

I do note that business max still exists.

Although i do note the QBR seems to be new. Don't remember seeing that before.

The Emirates skyward is interesting, was that always there?

I feel like there's typos here. As it contradicts the graphics. Pretty sure starter plus never offered points before and flex will continue to offer points.

They've also taken away a bundle with 14kg of carry-on. I'm realistically not going to fit everything in under 7kg (my non-clothes backpack already usually comes up to 5kg).

These set of changes doesn't just kill Max bundle efficiency for me, but also makes the Starter Plus bundle a lot worse. To get 20kg of bags and free changes, you must take the Flex Plus now. Just browsing at some random Golden Triangle dates, Flex Plus costs the same as QF economy, with the main difference being that you get free changes.

Taking a Starter fare and adding checked bags does come out cheaper still (no change as before), but IMO at that point you might as well look at VA.

This for me is a big disappointment. The 14kg carry-on was a great deal.

It’s a pity they still don’t have an in between bundle on Business fares. One that gives the points/lounge but not fully Flex (keep that for the top tier bundle).

I'd never bought Max Y domestically, but had for a 3K flight from Bangkok (for the lounge access).

Many of those buying the Max package for SCs probably already have lounge access via status anyway

The plus bundle changes are mighty annoying, that was my go to on international. Points + luggage + no change fee. Now only meal + luggage (no more points, no more free changes). Might as well just add on luggage. Really trying to push people to FlexPlus, which also has gone from 30kg to 20kg.

So now JQ are really this bad

Other than points trips to go to the Flounge will anyone still book them ??

Does this mean to imply that you can still book it?

* starter Max bundles are no longer available to purchase directly with Jetstar from 4 June 2024 *

Maybe there's still some minor leeway for travel agencies or existing bookings made before june 4?

Either way I would expect it to mean anything new from today.

Booking Jetstar on the Qantas website still has the max fare available but it would be more expensive most of the time.

Flight Centre seems to still sell the Starter Max fare but again seems a bit more expensive (especially with no Club Jetstar). Not sure how long will this last though.
