So long as the leasing terms are reasonable, not a problem at all...I guess it makes sense given the F100s are no longer around to compete against. But it does give you a little scary feeling of dejavu...
Oh I agree totally. I loved the e-jets. Bring back the MEL-KGI-PER rotation! So long as the leasing terms are reasonable, not a problem at all...
And engineering/LAME support. IIRC this was an issue for them last time?So long as the leasing terms are reasonable, not a problem at all...
VA had a couple of problems with the previous E190s. One of those was the leasing terms, but in addition they seemed to have engineering/reliability issues that other airlines didn't have.if someone could be a historian for just a sec, when and why did VA got rid of its ERJs? I think I read somewhere that they brought in Fokker for Skywest to replace the ERJ they sold so it definitely looks like a deja vu moment
I recall some clients wanted newer aircraft did they not? To hit sustainability targets?Surprising they haven't considered the Alliance model on 10yr old plus units.
Yep in BNE. Plenty of slots for another one in the centre.Did Virgin ever have a EJet Simulator here?

Relatively easy to find out under FOI re WA Gov funding.I recall some clients wanted newer aircraft did they not? To hit sustainability targets?
Perhaps they are happy to also pay an increase in bills that are associated with that.
I note the WA support in the press release also. I wonder if they are somewhat offering some form of $$ or assistance.
Didn't read to me as anything specific to these aircraft, just a comment re how they support regional aviation generally (Capped fares and the like)I recall some clients wanted newer aircraft did they not? To hit sustainability targets?

Doubt it. They are only being used for FIFO contracts aren’t they? Now the next question, will they install J!
Nope, considering the mention of Virgin Australia Regional in the Embraer press release suggests they are all-Y layout. They may replace some A320 "hellships" RPT runs though. Now the next question, will they install J!
