$1210 J class round trip on PR MEL/SYD to S.E Asia

Agreed that on occasion one may have to push an attendant to bring things. They tend to be more proactive if one has a friendly few words with them at the start. However laziness or lack of proactiveness among some crew is a constant on most airlines.
 
There is a reason QF charges a premium for its SYD-MNL-SYD flights - there is simply no competition on the route.

They're against PR and 5J which is a joke, sales in J are few and far between.

Untrue, Mrmaxwell. When I've been on PR in recent times, the J cabin has either been full or close to it. I reckon a couple of passengers on one flight and one on another were staff or 'friends' but apart from that the rest were treated no differently from me so I assume that they paid a fare. Only 18 seats in the A333 in J though as refurbished.

5J is all Y.
