There seems to be *another* transfer bonus to Velocity (from Amex, at least) this month. A good time for people to transfer their balances out before the upcoming devaluation, unless you're betting on another better bonus after this.

To transfer Membership Rewards points for Velocity Points you must be enrolled in Membership Rewards Ascent, Gateway, Premium Ascent, Business Ascent or David Jones Membership Rewards program and be a member of Velocity Frequent Flyer. To receive 15-25% Bonus Velocity Points you must transfer Membership Rewards points to Velocity between 15/02/2019 and 15/03/2019.

Membership Rewards Points Transfer Amount Velocity Bonus Points Awarded
Up to 250,000 15%
250,001-500,000 20%
Over 500,001 25%

A minimum of 2,000 Membership Rewards points must be redeemed for Velocity Points at any one time and must be in whole numbers. The redemption of points will be administered solely by American Express, will take up to 3 business days to transfer into your Velocity Account and is subject to the Terms and Conditions of the American Express Membership Rewards Program in which you are enrolled, available at membershiprewards.com.au/termsandconditions.The Velocity 15-25% Bonus Points will be administered by Velocity Frequent Flyer which will also take up to 3 business days to transfer into your Velocity Membership Account. Velocity Membership and Points earn and redemption are subject to the Velocity Membership Terms and Conditions as amended from time to time, available at velocityfrequentflyer.com

Ah cool. This will be me done with my Explorer then I think - sad, but necessary times.

I can't see this on the Velocity or Amex websites... does anyone have the page link?

There was a "bonus" flag when I went to the page to transfer MR points to velocity. Basically go all the way to the page where you input how many points you want to transfer, and there should be "bonus" at the top and the details of the bonus are in the terms and conditions drop down.

Thanks pangwen, I will take advantage of this offer towards the end so I can maximise my points and then cancel my card.
Found the offer shows up when you click on overview for the velocity transfer on the membership rewards page.

holy cough that is a good deal, pity I dont have premium

there's currently an offer from Citibank Rewards, convert Citi to FlyBuys at 15% bonus transfer.
Rate is 1 Citi: 1 FlyBuys. Min points required, 2000 Citi to get 2000 FlyBuys, 15% bonus will give 300 FlyBuys extra at 2000 points transfer.

So, when VA throws 15%-20% bonus transfer from FlyBuys, would this current FlyBuys offer, be worth it? For those who value VA points.
My head hurts doing the math on this. Sounds like double dipping on bonus points transfers.

Thats an awesome deal it seems....the platinum tier might be enough for me to transfer to velocity (usually I transfer to KF).
Where do you see the details on the platinum tier offer? Not that I don't believe you, but just want to see it for myself ;).
I can only find the bonus points table on the amex rewards website, nothing else...

Not worth it at 15%. That's the break even point.

If you have Ascent Premium there is no effective devaluation of accumulated points so would need to consider carefully transferring that many points

Easy decision for me now, velocity it is (non accent premium here). 25% bonus makes it a no brainer for my situation Vs SQ.

same here,
non accent premium, didnt get the doubling, need to do the maths properly, but the 3 yr expiry on Kris kills me

but the lack of availability on VF that everyone talks about is scaring me

What is the current transfer ratio between VA and SQ?
