$200 "Dining credit" towards a list of Global Restaurants

This is the message I get when attempting to enrol.
Sorry. There are no available offers for this Card.

So I rang Amex and they said definitely not eligible. Only on cards with $1450 annual fee.

I was told all cards through a professional association were ineligible mine and she specifically said AMA cards.
She did say we are going to have to check that all the offers are correct. I hope your luck doesn't disappear out the window.

Shame you cant use the credit on FineFood Stores like $300 Dining Credit last time around - here in South Australia very few choices of restaurants, so for we South Aussies its a pretty pointless and really superfluous

the AMA website for the platinum lists the $400 in dining as a perk...

if that's the professional card you have, I'm guessing?

That link only comes up with the travel credit not any dining offer. I have rung amex and been turned down so life is what it is.

just below the T.C it says global dining credit

That only comes up for the metal card at $1450 a year. Not for the ordinary platinum card. I get basically all the benefits for $1300 less per year so losing a $400 benefit per year is not important.

That sounds a good legacy product. At first I thought you must have a Platinum Edge (which also has current RACP member rates) but that doesn't have the Platinum Charge benefits

Here in Melbourne, I guess it is slightly better but I wish Nobu participated.
The listing for Japanese restaurants aren't so impressive compared to Sydney.

Can anyone verify that Amex no longer have reserved tables at top restaurants since the launch of this new Platinum Dining benefit?
