By Theo Leggett Business reporter, BBC News
If Formula E is the future, then the future is going to be a rather quiet place. But that may not necessarily be such a bad thing.
The new international championship for fully-electric racing cars is holding its first major test session this week, at the Donington Park circuit in Leicestershire.
The series kicks off with a race through the streets of Beijing in September. It will include events in 10 cities, concluding with an "E-prix" around London's Battersea Park next June.

Did everyone enjoy the Alonso/Vettel battle?
Just saw that Raikkonen's accident was measured at 47g. Good drive by Bottas as well.
Off to Germany we go after some UK testing....
It seems this year I've had to refocus a lot of my time on uni, and F1 is one things that has left my life quite a bit. However it's interesting to see Vettel has dropped so much from previous seasons and I do wonder, had Webber stuck around, would this have finally been his year, at least over Vettel, or is there more to it, or less to it.

This thread has been quiet, I suppose other more important things have been happening. I am looking forward to tonight's race as I can watch it and not worry about the OMG departure I normally have on a Monday morning.
HAM is starting 20th after a 5 grid penalty after changing his gearbox yesterday. So a very big drive ahead of him.I think tonight should be a pretty good race. Hamilton will have to drive the wheels off the merecedes to get through the traffic but i don't think it will be as easy as normal as he has a few classy drivers around him. The williams have showed good pace as well so might make it interesting.
Friend is travelling in Europe at the moment and they went to qualy yesterday, hung around to see the drivers and they got a selfie with Dan and a signed aussie flag. They were pretty stoked... and I'm mega jealous!
