Few people around me were moaning about the radio as well - sounded like rock music most of the time, I assume their transmitter died.

I was half listening to the Sky broadcast via the F1 app (all streamed over Celcom 4G - didn't miss a beat).

Unfortunately whilst the normal output volume of the f1 app is OK, for some reason the headphone volume is unusable, so was a matter of putting tablet to ear every now and then

Ferrari's pit stop plan was the winner, not their speed. I think Mercedes will still comfortably win most races, save for any incidents.

First time in a long time both Torro Rosso cars placed ahead of RBR. Hats off to Max, looks the real deal and still so young. I wish I was doing what he is doing at his age.

i hate to think about all the unhappy people who bought a new Headset Radio this year at 180ringit = $ 60.00 AUD.
i bought mine 4 years ago and it works in Melb too, so i am happy enough with it overall, but yes, pretty poor effort to not have it running for the rest of the race.
loved the fact that the Torro Rosso's were up there, and Williams, although would've been happier if Daniel Ricci was a bit higher. great to see Kimi up there too. really want to see those Pit Stops now.
i even bought along my "C'mon Dan" poster from Melb.

One has about three runs of its 1hr highlights package this week - starting tonight

Unfortunately I did not get to see the race.
Might have to check out some BBC streaming for the next one.

I streamed from my notebook to TV using the link that KLN gave at post #53. While the pic was somewhat grainy and sometimes froze, at least there were no advert breaks.

What an awesome race, not only for Ferrari but for F1 as a whole. Will be even better when Kimi is right up there too.

I watched the 1 hour highlights version last night. Must admit I enjoyed the "condensed" version of the race*

*Ducks for cover

The fact it was non-live I didn't like.

The commentary (which I think way the Sky feed) was much better

I think they have effectively confirmed it is a draft for discussion.

Having Sing and KL back to back looks good

Hmmm ... my care factor has reduced to a small value this year ... I do have Foxtel and could watch but ... meh ...

Have watched F1 and V8 supercars since inception on local TV, but no way (or others I know) will be forced to get a Fox Box to get it live, will watch on FTA when available.

Interesting comments bemoaning the move of races to Foxtel and the resultant loss of interest in the sport. If this is representative of the General Public's view then has Bernie shot himself in the foot in chasing the TV rights money at the expense of audience numbers. The Team sponsors, who pay millions of Dollars for their names on the cars might be re evaluating it's worth.

For sure they have lost many thousands of viewers, bad move. If I as an advertiser now one would certainly have to evaluate.
