I'm going to hold of until after I get back from KL (we do at least get coverage of Melb) then reconsider. The new IQ might also be released by then.

Would also expect at some point Foxtel might drop their HD charges - if only to save doubling up on transmission and coding costs.

HD coverage of F1 and V8SC! There is a God after all. And with the 'enhancement' to the F1's engine (noise), there's little point attending an event nowadays.

Makes ESPN's coverage of the NHRA somewhat less appealing, although I still can't help myself when they show super slo-mo's of the header flames bellowing from the Topfuellers and Nitro Funny Cars.

Marussia confirmed they will be ready for the Aus GP.

Marussia are set to return to the Formula One racing grid for the 2015 season-opener after confirming their car will be ready in time for Australia.

Very happy to hear this.

Unfortunately I shall not be able to watch Saturday's proceedings.

Unknown and I are having breakfast in ADL, lunch and maybe another breakfast in MEL then dinner in SYD as we fly around for the day on JQ ;).

Shame on you for putting the [-]F lounge[/-] meals first! ;)

I was offered free tickets to the Melbourne GP last night... Talk about late notice!

I have just updated the F1 app.

And the additional cost for the live timing and other goodies? $33.99! Sorry Bernie, but 'No deal'.

A steal at $32.62 on Google Play then.
Worth it just for live commentary at the track (going to KL and maybe Sing)... And to watch the race without Fox (although suspect they might get me by the end)

if you are going to Sepang Moa999, purchase the digital headphones for race commentary. they work really well. we have bought them and then used them in melbourne the following years. still work after 4 year too, just need new batteries every now and then. a normal radio with earphones doesn't seem to work at Sepang due to the amount of cement at the track, i can't even get my tablet to work there either, but their headphones are awesome

Interesting. Have had no issues in prior years with my small AM/FM headset or even the built-in FM on my Android.
And no problems with live timing either (indeed last year in K1 stand guy a few rows in front of me was streaming the SkyTV broadcast (presumably similar to Foxtel Go) and has no issues at least on the Saturday. Didn't see him on the Sunday

Early days but the dominance looks to continue.

Ferrari up the order, Bulls down.

Will Alonso want to come back with that McLaren performance
