I thought it might be interesting, and possibly even helpful, to find out about what travel adventures AFF members have planned for 2017. Which means I get to talk about what I have planned! Or am planning anyway.

Heading off with the gentleman and the little man to Europe for 4 weeks over June/July. We have a wedding to attend in Estonia and are planning the rest of the trip around that. The other destinations currently scheduled are Paris, Prague, Amsterdam and Bavaria. Very excited!

In 2017, I have my sights on Singapore, Hong Kong, Macao, Kuala Lumpur, Vienna, Bratislava, Toronto, Niagara Falls, New York, Boston, Washington DC, London, Oslo, Tromsø and Muscat :)...please don't tell anyone at work!

We're also looking to head to Europe in June, with my mother basing herself in a villa in Spain if we can find a suitable one, and then heading out on adventures from there.

Next year's big trip is to South America to hike the Inca Trail. Plan currently also includes Nazca lines, the Andes Express train ride to Lake Titicaca, some time sipping malbecs in Mendoza and exploring Buenos Aires.

But, starting the year off right with a F lounge visit and week laying on a beach in Bali on January 1st!

Also some skiing in Queenstown in June.

At this stage ;)

March we head to Easter Island, the long way. SYD>LAX>ATL>SCL>IPC>SCL>ATL>BNA>ATL>LAX>SYD

6 days at Easter Island, hopefully get a couple of scuba dives in as well
3 days in Santiago
5 days in Nashville, already have Ice Hockey and Opry tickets
4 days Atlanta, going to the CDC
1 day in LA, something about Normans Rare Guitars for the husband (now that the Fender visitor centre is closed)

Havent planned anything after that yet.

A cruise in the Chilean fjords with JohnM and some friends of mine, followed by a week driving along the Argentine side of the Andes with JohnM , then friends and I meet back up and go onto Easter Island and Tahiti while JohnM splits in a different direction. February/March

A RTW including Norway, England, Washington DC and the Chesapeake, Bermuda, Trinidad & Tobago, Florida then home via LAX. April/May

Athens, a tour in Iran and maybe home via Sri Lanka in November.

Wow, that is the long way around!

Two excellent trips planned. One in April and sharing with AFF'er love_the_life which includes a couple of days in Singapore then boarding Queen Mary 2 liner for a 10 day journey touching Penang, KL, Colombo then on to Dubai for a few nights.

In July, off to the Baltics on another cruise suggested to us by a Canadian couple whom we met on a Med Cruise. This will take in Doha, Stockholm, StPB, Tallin, Helsinki, Germany, Copenhagen Oslo and Amsterdam. Not sure how we get home yet.

Sounds amazing. I have a desire to visit Spain

Phwoar, look at 'em pile in :).

Here are my plans:

26 January: To the Ice in Ice - or Lunch Over Antarctica. Antarctic flight ex PER. Decided to throw caution to the wind and go in Ice Class . Booked about a year ago and mentioned it to a friend later in the year. He got no. 2 on the wait list and last week when final payments were due it appears that some pax had bailed, so he's aboard.

End of Jan: position to SYD to begin a DONE5 1 Feb-8 April: SYD-DFW-BZE-DFW-SJD-ORD-LAX-xJFK-SCL-xMAD-AMM-DOH-xLHR-DEL-xHKG-HND-SYD-[PER]. Want to see the Mayan ruins in Belize and Guatemala (aka Following in the Footsteps of Rooflyer), a brief squizz at Cabo San Lucas, then to SCL the connect way ;), meet Rooflyer and friends and high-tail it by car to Puerto Montt for a Chilean fjord cruise, back in the car with RF and over the Andes to Argentina to drive northwards to just S of Mendoza and maybe, just maybe, share a red or two with RF in the process , loop back to SCL and then over to Jordan for the classic sights, scope Doha for a couple of days, then over to DEL the connect way for a brief highlights of N India viewing before getting to Japan for the sakura and then home.

July: 4WD expedition along the Canning Stock Route. This is a classic in WA; maybe less well known in the east: a very remote (eg. fuel dumps required) 2000 km 4WD track in eastern WA (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canning_Stock_Route). Doing it in convoy over three weeks from S to N then spending another couple of weeks wending back home through the Pilbara.

Late September: To Ethiopia (PER-DXB-ADD redemptions already booked in EK F and J; just waiting for DXB-PER to open) for two weeks, then over to CAI for classic Egypt stuff, about a week in the UAE filling in the gap before a two week tour of Iran (to be joined by the indomitable Rooflyer again :)).

That should fill a few gaps in my miserable life .

Should have included the maps:

And guessing: Hopefully I can get a map of the track. Otherwise it will be a series of pics from the flight path.
