We already have 2017,18 and 19 travel planned with deposits posted. The focus for these years is Expedition cruising whilst hopefully we are still physically able to do so.
So for 2017 we first of all are finishing off the current trip with the first few days in Bangkok then a few days in Chiang Mai before flying home TG F-yes lifemiles again.
Then a week at home, working 4 weeks in Rocky before our next trip.

From UIA-CPT it is the Silver Explorer via the Falklands,South Georgia and Tristan da Cunha.
In South America it is the SPG Tambo del Inka in Urubamba as a base for a few days-no hiking or even climbing mountains.Just hoping for a fine day.
A couple of days in Iguazu Falls,Buenos Aires,Ushuaia.

In Africa it is a date with the gorillas in Bwindi and a few days at the Sanctuary Makayane in South Africa.

2.Mid year it is a simple 2 weeks back in Thailand-Bangkok and Hua Hin.

3.December and it is off to Orlando for the grandkids Christmas present.

We have a couple locked in, and I am deliberating over other possibilities.

Small one in February. Sydney for a week with wife, child, and my mother, who has never left WA before. So that will be an experience for her. Although she'll miss out on the return J flights I have booked. First ever J booking for MrsGM and I. Only domestic but I am still excited.

And April - May is Singapore and Japan. Staying at the Carlton in Singapore for three nights, before heading to Tokyo, Kanazawa, Osaka, Hiroshima, and Fukuoka. Returning on our first international J flights via SQ. FKK-SIN-PER. Can't wait.

After that... I am considering a solo trip to Thevenard Island off the north-west coast as part of an annual fishing expedition. Although I would love to take the wife to Hawaii for a week or so as well. Perhaps I can do both. Just a matter of time and money.

I've got a status run/mini break planned for late March/early April (AKL-MEL-HKG-KUL-CMB r/t). Then 10 days in Japan over Easter and ANZAC Day for a proper holiday. A few mini breaks domestically and trans-tasman in the pipeline and some international work trips likely but not booked. Will likely be a busier year of travel than this year!

I'm bringing in the New Year in Rotorua and kicking the hangover with Black Water Rafting in Waitomo.

April should see a 10 trip to one of China/South Korea/Japan

That will leave me a 2-3 weeks for something bigger. Jordan/Egypt or Virunga National Park or elsewhere. I'm not sure just yet.

I visited the gorillas in 2013 in Rwanda. Hands down one of the most amazing travel experiences I have ever had. Still gives me tingles!

Not a lot planned at this point. New Zealand to do the Tongariro Crossing and find a beach on the Coranandel in Feb. Possibly a trip to Florida to visit my brother later in the year.

Saw gorillas in Zaire in 1989 and chimps at Gombe National Park (Tanzania), some of the highlights of my life. (I wonder how many of the gorillas and their minders survived the wars in that part of the world.)

Some changes to next years plans as M-Sport have managed to sign Sebastian Ogier following VW's withdrawal from the WRC. Seb has been world champion for the last 4 years, so here is hoping he can get the Fiestas back to the top.

So at this stage, Myanmar in Feb, Thailand, Laos and Cambodia in late March/early April. Portugal (Porto) in May, Sardinia in June, Germany (Trier) in August with the possibility of Finland as well. Then a break untill December for a Christmas Market tour to Austria and Germany. (Subject to changes !)

We are fully booked, apart from some train travel, for a European adventure culminating in the ANZAC Day service at Villers Bretonneux. We are flying out on 4th April on CX/AY SYD-HKG-HEL, train to St Petersburg and back after 4 days. We then fly to VIE, train to Salzburg and a car tour through Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Luxembourg and France. We fly back CDG-HEL-HKG-SYD at the end of April. This will be our first time on the A350.

Heading back to the US on a solo trip in March/April - stopping in Seattle for a few days (first visit there), then flying to Kalispell Montana and heading to a ranch for 3 weeks to totally immerse myself in an intensive natural horsemanship program - they teach Buck Brannaman's natural horsemanship, something I've been wanting to do for years, but have never had the opportunity (or the money), but now I've hit 50 it's a matter of if I don't do it now, I never will. It's still going to be pretty chilly then, so have been stocking up on the winter woolies LOL.

Will be doing a glassblowing class when I'm in Seattle - I've never come across anywhere before where you could actually have a go at doing this rather than just watching, so couldn't pass up that opportunity!

Whitianga on the east coast of the Coromandel has some great beaches. If you want some real solitude, try Opito Bay. Although realistically where ever you go in that area, you won't be short of stunning places to spend your time.

10 Days in Bali on a Luxury Escape.

Later in the year, 11 weeks in Europe, staying three days in Doha on the way back.
Regards,
Renato

New to posting, and some of the terminology leaves me scrambling for the AFF "Dictionary"
However, some of these trips on the planning table sound sensational.
Being self employed, numbers of trips a year aren't so much the issue...but time spent away is.
PER-HKG in J is the upcoming Christmas number...
Short trip to KL & Ipoh in Feb.
Couple of Bali's thrown in to fill in the gaps..along with the annual 3 day footy pilgrimage to MEL.
10 days to LGK and KUL in April
Quick PER-SIN trip to cover late August
Then a Hua Hin /BKK trip in October, with a planned Laos jaunt Xmas 17...
Love to venture further, but ability to stay work involved is the difficulty...

Tickets in hand for SYD/HND/ITM(Osaka)/HND/BKK/SYD covering 29/03 to 30/04/17. This gives me Sakura viewing in Japan and Songkran (Thai NY ) in Thailand. Later in the year SYD/BKK/SYD from 02/07 to 30/08/17 to escape the "winter" in Australia. I visit Japan and Thailand every year, but this time I have combined the JP and TH trips to enjoy two events, and moved my JP October trip forward. Carriers are QF and JL, all in cattle class!

Great to see little Estonia making it into some travel plans :)

Myself next year...

Starting off with a week in Sri Lanka with some friends from Estonia who are meeting me halfway. They are going there to defrost, I am going for the food.

Big trip this year sees 8 weeks RTW in Tokyo, London, Tallinn, New York, Baton Rouge, Los Angeles and Hong Kong. I have been reading everyone's awesome trip reports and taking notes on NY and London.
