He sounded a bit better post race than post qualifying!

Agree. Ricardo drove the wheels off that Red Bull in that race, a very underpowered car overtaking cars with slightly more horsepower.

Surprised that Verstappen wasn't penalised for the contact with other cars in the early part of the race.

Just saw the highlights, did Ricardo overtake Raikkonen on track or get him in pit ?

Pits. RAI got caight behind traffic.

Max got a 5sec penalty for the RAI incident. Other incident was more VETs fault and he spun and dropped to back

I am not sure about nowhere, the higher elevation of Mexico reduces the pure engine speed of some of the front runners.

Hamilton did too (and was much more elegant about it), but I think that's only because he knows the championship is wrapped up - otherwise he'd be his usual smug self!

The mercs and ferraris are a lot faster in the first sector so a lot could happen at the first corner.

Looking forward to next year. I've been a fan of the Enstone team for a long time because they always seem to do better than expected - a little less so the past couple of years, but with the money being pumped in it is a good position to be in for him with a 1 year contract...
