Incredible timing. I got a Double SC offer from VA last week (as I'm 25% into my requalifying year apparently), right on time with this sale.

Also found out that I needed to be on the Gold Coast for a course - so I pulled the trigger and paid the extra for J (ADL-MEL-OOL rt), netting 500 SC for 830 at $1.66 p/SC, locking in plat for another year!

Are these promo fares eligible for DSC’s?

They should be going off past promo codes/DSC I’ve used before.

First I’ve heard of targeted DSC though.

It should definitely be. The fare basis is DZBU4, which should credit as full Business.

It was definitely strange. I should also add, that I'm 3months into my requalifying year with only 7 SC lol - which was pointed out in the e-mail!

The window for booking was incredibly generous, with all revenue flights booked from 10/7 to 24/7 eligible, for travel up to October.

Booked a couple of ADL-MEL return flights in J for my wife and I to catch a couple of footy games in Melbourne in the coming weeks. Still need approximately 18 nights before the end of the year to keep Accor Platinum so now to book some accommodation

I was meant to do exactly this... until I realised I'd forgotten to do so 10 minutes ago. coughola!

Had to burn a $400 Amex credit in June before it expired so booked a J flight back from Mel after a Crows v Carlton game on the 27th, and was going to book a J over in the AM given it was $230 ish. Now I'm looking at Freedom only fares for $400 one way. Oops!

Yeah, we were originally only going to Essendon v Port but at under half price in J we decided to go back the next week for Essendon v Bulldogs.

Great, thanks for the code. Just booked MEL-SYD-OOL and OOL-SYD-MEL in Business for a total of 220 SC. Got the A330 for the MEL-SYD leg. Will take me to 825 SC and another year of platinum.
