I can see them doing F1.
Just with no overseas crowds allowed in.

Much like the cricket, a few team only hotels 10 teams X say 50 people each. Paddock is a quarantine zone.

Harder for the Tennis given the larger number involved and longer duration.

Well what an interesting qualifying. The rain played a big part... Stroll with his first P1. The track was only relaid 10 days ago so didn't help with grip.

Weather looks to be much the same for the race so should be interesting and will suit VER starting from P2.

And a probable coronation for Hamilton’s 7th driver crown

I haven't done any digging yet to see if the stewards investigation for after qualifying was done / what the outcome was, they were looking at Q2 and when the double yellow flags hit. Might be some movement on the grid but we'll see.

So far only both McLaren got grid penalties. Seems like only Russell left to face stewards

Fun race to watch, shame it didn't actually rain much during the race as could have made it even more fun! VER threw away his chances by being a bit impatient, could have passed PER eventually and ended up first. But instead....... HAM bided his time and took his chances.......

Pity RIC ended up in 10th.

Yep. Not the best race for Renault versus the rest of the midfield. Suspect both may have been carrying front wing damage.

Dan actually had a great start and got the best traction but unfortunately picked the centre and got blocked from both sides which ultimately put him into the position where the Ocon collision occured.

From there he was competitive at times and very slow at others.

Who here thinks that Perez will get a seat in a car next year? Redemption drive for Vettel. Ricciardo was very unlucky to have such a good start and end up between two other cars. They should resurface every F1 track immediately, and permanently install sprinklers alongside the tracks, what a great equaliser that track turned out to be, rewarding patience, different strategies and skill.

HAM did not bide his time initially. He was lucky on the first lap that RIC decided colliding with Ocon was the better option than letting HAM's Merc hit him.

Yes and Hamilton complained and questioned the tyre strategy the entire way - and in hindsight the Mercedes team probably made the right calls (except for maybe the last one where Hamilton overruled the team strategy call) and had him on the right tyres at the right time, but its hindsight, the track and tyres were constantly evolving and getting the strategy and tyre change timing wrong was pretty easy to do and sent what looked like competitive drivers backwards pretty fast e.g. Stroll, Verstappen and Albon. One more sprinkle of rain would have produced a very different result.

Was a safe call.
He had a pitstop advantage at the time.

Had it rained his tyres were so worn he would have slid straight off the track.

Yes an interesting race but still the same result for 1st.
Bottas had a shocker...
Yes, an all too regular result for first, but the fact that 2nd in the world championship was lapped - just is a unique exclamation point.

In the race, I felt Stroll should have stayed out and just slog it out for maximum points for the team. Racing Point certainly missed a big trick to locking up 3rd on the constructors. I guess the fool's gold of a grand prix win contributed to what was a poor decision in my view.

Grosjean is a lucky driver

With 2 races to go, McLaren looking good for 3rd in the Constructors’ Championship (which is a shame for Racing Point which seems to have better pace but no luck in securing results)

Very lucky, he wasn't a fan of the Halo, but has now changed his mind dramatically. I don't understand how the armco barrier ripped apart so easily, the impact was somewhat tangental also - perhaps I need to relook it. FWIW I don't even watch F1 anymore and haven't for about the last decade, just read about the races and any highlights.
