Great race and Ric seems to have rediscovered some mojo. Tyre strategy meant he lost out to Nor but cant argue he drove the wheels off it - well done to manage the gap to Gas and Alo at the end too.

It was only the 10th race in F1 history where there were no retirements! No collisions, no crashes and no mechanical failures.

RIC came second to VER in Driver of the day, not by much ...

Norris also appears to be over-reacting to Ric holding him off early on in the race - not sure if that’s really Norris over reacting or media flogging the issue, but what did he expect him to do - just give him the place?

Increased tension in the McLaren camp - hope that helps rather than hinders Ric, and also says Norris feels it’s “his” team and feels some entitlement to preferential treatment. Hopefully sparks Ric a bit.

Opening lap you keep your line, even if it's the teammate.

Dan let him past easily later in as on different tyre strategy.

Was interesting how Norris used is 2nd set successfully, whereas Vettel got stuck pretty quickly.

Agreed a great race to watch from the get go. Caught me completely off guard when Daniel let Lando go by in the second stint... after he passed him with ease in the first.

Turning into the type of season we've been wanting for many years.

Onto Austria we go. Bring on the triple headers!

Last week, RIC 13th to 7th before a strange engine failure put him back to 13th where he finished.

This week 13th through to 5th before tired tyres put RIC back to 7th.

Next race weekend in 10 days at Silverstone where Qualifying is by way of a Saturday 100km "Sprint Race" worth 6 points (3,2,1) with Qualifying for that in Q1, Q2 & Q3 format using 'Soft' tyres only on Friday.

The diehard fans won't be happy, but it'll be interesting to see how this shakes things up. Looking forward to it!

We can only hope there's a silver lining in all these dark clouds. I'd rather it be cancelled though than the quarantine avoided when us locals don't get that chance.

Now now... we don't get care about the Aus GP remember, not since the start of 1996 anyway 🤣
We could snatch it baaack......so much fun compared with the V8's. And now I live in the west and not the east, the awful traffic jams won't bother me at all. Steven Marshall - here is your chance to redeem!

So apparently I shouldn't have spoken ill of the Melbourne version of the Aus GP.... It's off.
