My thoughts are with the family of Jules Bianchi following the Gasly incident.
It must have brought back horrific memories.
Apparently Gasly has been fined for swearing. Seriously??
I'd probably remove Japan from the F1 calendar.

It's a pity Suzuka is such a classic track. But yes, unforgivable to have machinery on the track while cars were still rotating outside of the safety car.

Yes Pierre was faster than he should have been (within delta limits true, but still, doesn't pass the pub test there). But why was the crane there. And why didn't his team warn him on the radio?

I'm looking forward to seeing how he goes at Alpine. Always believe Red Bull dropped him way too early (though no one can argue with Checos performance to date).

With the tech available, surely any vehicles should have similar trackers as the F1 cars so teams / race control can see (electronically) any vehicles on track and teams alerted accordingly.

There’s some pretty obvious stuff that could be done but of course it costs money and requires process change - hard in any context, let alone with the politics of F1.




The “salary cap” breach by RB and how the politics of that plays out is going to be popcorn worthy……

Pretty poor from VER at the Sao Paolo GP to not let PER through at the end to get the extra 2 points, especially after all the help PER has given him especially around this time of the 2021 season. Why the heck did he need to finish 6th himself? He already has the championship wrapped up.
