We've just booked Easter at Longreach and Winton. Only the three nights. First two Winton, last in Longreach. Staying nowhere fancy (no glamping at Rangelands!). Dinosaurs, the Royal theatre, Waltzing Matilda, Qantas Founders, Stockman's Hall of Fame, home.

Also considering booking either Aranui or Paul Gauguin for second half of year for a return to French Polynesia but this time including the Marquesas.

Sunshine Coast January; Japan March/April; Looking at South Korea for June/July; back to the Sunshine Coast in September. May throw a couple of weeks in the US or Canada prior to the September Sunshine Coast trip.

Six-ish weeks in Europe from late August. I have been lucky enough to get J seats to Europe and just need to work out seats home. Probably most of my time will be in and around Estonia as usual with some sidetrips. Currently they look like Norway train trip, Croatia and probably some time in UK.

The good woman and I doing CNS/SYD return in J (points) then 13 day Majestic Princess cruise in December next in a mini suite, it's Sydney to NZ return.

No flights booked as yet, wanting to fly J but wanting fares to come down first.
4 nights Barossa in June.

Paris and Normandy in May and June 23. One week in Singapore on way back, all in SQ J. Will celebrate the wife’s 70th in Paris. Just to warm up will go to Singapore in Dec this year for 12 days. First flight in 3 years.

Change of plans. From exotic French Polynesian cruise to Kimberley overland in September to use a credit we have with Intrepid. I know where I'd really rather be going

My short 60th birthday cruise in March on Quantum of the Seas
Winton/Longreach over Easter
Magnetic Isand for May long weekend
Intrepid Kimberley Overland (Broome return) early September. Gee accom in Broome is expensive, and limited. We of course are also very cheap

Have even gone into 2024. Easter cruise on the Carnival Luminosa to again use a credit. This one gave us $900 OBC if we rebooked by end of October this year for any cruise until end of March 2024.

Two trips planned and ticketed - June/July 3 week cycling trip with my partner to the Italian Alps and the Dolomites, and July/August 2 weeks to the Gran Fondo World Championships in Glasgow.

The first trip was difficult to secure - Classic Award unavailable even through the VIP team. Purchase price was very high. After listening to the most recent webinar on "Business Class to Europe on a budget" I realised that flights to Europe are cheaper if originating in Asia and also was prompted to the nesting principle. So I managed to get, through the VIP team, return MEL-SIN x 2, and then bought (much) cheaper QATAR flights SIN-MXP and VCE-SIN

Trip 2 is MEL-GLA-MEL through the VIP team.

All in business class except a flight VCE-MAD in economy (Iberia) before picking up a MAD-DOH on the way back to SIN (in trip 2).

Off to Japan on 24 January for a month that will involve skiing, touring, onsens, eating lots of food and practicing my Japanese!

Booked SYD-SIN-CPH-KEF for May 2023. Finally getting to Iceland, my dream of over 30 years. When I was in Europe as a backpacker around 1990 I so wanted to go but the airfares were prohibitive and the currency was so strong that I would've been broke on arrival. Worth the wait! Going to enjoy Copenhagen again after all these years too.

• Cote dAzur / Monaco (again, although it's kind of / kind of not to see the F1 GP but more importantly spend it with good company)

That looks to be a trip of contrasts! Okay maybe we can compare Iceland notes as plans progress. Hardest part is pronouncing the place names...

Ah, that's multiple trips. Gotta get back into our routine of at least 1 per month now that we have moved house.

This is our 2nd trip, we went in April last year. Booked a Whale Watching cruise with the fantastic Elding (Front Page - New | Elding Adventure at Sea) and had a somewhat unusual non-sighting, so they give you a voucher that's good for 2 years to go again. A good way to do it is go early in your trip, so you can then re-book for the next day or later in your trip. We did ours from Reykjavik, but we're using the voucher to head up to Akureyri and do one there instead. Fortunately only a short hop from LHR for us to get there. We did the Southern part of the ring road last this year, but next year we're going up north and then working our way back, doing some hiking along the way. Kirkjufell for example, is pretty well known.

We plan on doing the ring road. Got 11 days so hope that's not too much of a rush. Won't get everywhere of course but I am sure we will return, all going well, maybe with a Faroe Islands trip next time. Getting ahead of myself though.
