When everyone played everyone else, home and away, it may have had more relevance.

So the finals seeks to balance the equity of the draw by giving a banding effect:
Top 4 - double chance
Next 4 - playing finals
Everyone else - come back next year
Oh and a special category for the Shinbeggars when they get a wooden spoon and extra charity picks.

The Lions won because I did not back them. (Winx was the same. The last time I backed Winx was when she lost. The owners should give me 10% of her winnings for not backing her.)

Back to the Lions. I've been backing them at 8/1 to 10/1 to win for 4-5 years and managed to put the jinx on them. I didn't back them this year. I've seen odds for next year. Very short but could be worth backing.

I'm from Sydney but hate the Swans. Way too much arrogance. Hopefully they'll learn to be humble now.
