Could this be the end of the road for Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya? I'm not personally convinced by the decision to bring on (yet) another street circuit at the expense of a classic track and a layout that that still challenges modern F1 machinery.

Apparently so, will become the new Spanish GP for 10 years. It was a fair trek out to the old track although not as bad as Qatar!

We haven't even had a single car launch and the '24 "Silly Season" has (seemingly) just already kicked off with one hell of a bang!!

Of course this might never happen. But assuming for a moment that it does...

1. With Leclerc having just re-signed for Ferrari on a multi-year deal, where does this leave Sainz? Direct swap to Merc? Move to Audi as their Number 1? Perez's replacement at RBR to rekindle the VER/SAI rivalry of the STR days?
2. Will Toto step aside in '25 and if he does, who will take over?
3. What do we read into this - if anything - about the trajectory of Mercedes' recovery?
4. Does Lewis take Bono with him to Ferrari?

The list of questions is endless, but one thing is for sure... 2024 may have just gotten very tasty before a single wheel has been turned in anger!!

Who really knows when it turns out Lewis's 2yr contract had a unilateral exit clause.

Definitely wouldn't suprise it drivers like Norris have performance exit clauses
