Time for a few words - maybe it's me but i have only ever stayed at Radisson Hotels a handful of times - every experience has been cough - today just about takers the cake.
Booked this room thorough Hotels.com on March 5, 2022 - as
Jerry would say -
I don't think you do. You see, you know how to *take* the reservation, you just don't know how to *hold* the reservation.
1 week ago I called Radisson Blue Zurich Airport and re-confirmed booking for Family Room with 1 King Bed
We brace the Reception counter and young dudes taps his little heart out and hands us keys - I say can you please get Porter to bring luggage up - Sorry Sir we don't have Porters but I will bring it up for you.
So dude and the Ette take first elevator up to 3rd floor and to room cause we can't all fit in tiny elevator - I arrive 2 mins later to find the Ette telling dude this room totally unacceptable cause it has 2 single beds + divan made up as another double bed.
NO NO NO I said - YES - I booked a 'family' room but that was for the space - Reservation clearly shows 2 adults - not accepting this room - young dude really in a huff now -
I changed you to this room because it is last family room we have and you booked family room - I am not accepting this room lets go change it.
Back down to reception and new room - 385 this time - but he tells us housekeeping are up there finishing cleaning it - forget you bringing luggage up I will push the hotel trolley up this time - open 385 and this is what we see:
Housekeeping still in room and I say please pack up the divan bed we are not accepting that - she leaves and fetches one of her mates who comes into room and starts to give me an earful - listen lady - not my mistake - Reception mistake - pack up divan please and she proceeds to do so
ATPIT I bring out a couple little Koalas and give them to them - WOW - the instant change in attitude - all of a sudden we are greatest of mates:
They even types their email address into phone for me so I could email pic to them
Radisson Hotels? Nope NEVER again.
