3pt/$ at supermarkets...?

I must have missed the memo.

I was in the same boat as you until Vitagen mentioned it on the Champagne thread. Of-course if your online order will attract a delivery fee you can always choose Click & Collect to ensure you get the 3 points and the Pricepal discount when you drop by the store. Plus it is a grab and dash affair with the box there waiting for you. ;)

I've only done delivery once (for the secret champagne) otherwise it's instore or Click & Collect.

Online purchase at Dan using Edge reaps 3 points. Thanks to Vitagen for alerting me to this. Combine with Pricepal (a la burmans) for additional discount.

Burmans also mentioned BigW gift cards to pay for the DM purchase. Suggesting no edge points for DM online. I was querying the classification for edge points when purchasing the BigW gift cards.

I think burmans is probably after the BigW discount over the points.

The 3 points would depend on the classification of the bigw card online store. My last BigW in store purchase with the Edge card got 1point/$
In my case was using Entertainment Book to get my BigW card and got 3 points. But also 5% discount via Entertainment Book plus the pricepal/cashrewards discount (i just check each time and go with whoever is cheaper).

And yes, for me 15c off trumps 3 or 4 points.

Thanks for the explanation.

I was trying to clarify how you got both points and the discount for the gift cards. Not compare points vs discount.
