5,000 bonus points each on up to 3 international Qantas Hotels bookings (book by 5/8/24)

My points for the stay of 30th July arrived

My first lot of 5000 points just landed for a hotel worth a few dollars. Found a few cheap places in Indonesia but obviously never left Sydney so no check in or check out. I think this might end up being the cheapest 15k points earned!

2 of my 3 stays in Indonesia have now posted with the bonus 5000 pts. :)

Money for Jam as they might stay

I’m baffled though WHY they CLEARLY did NOT THINK through the process AND made sure one actually spent a night at said hotel
to that extent, it explains why the T&Cs were altered to the minimum spend (of $100?)

All of my 5k bonuses have come through and likewise for the wife’s account
 
I've just seen the standard 9 points come through for my $3 indo booking now fingers crossed for the 5,000 to hit soon.

Quick question for those whose bonus points have posted: is the activity date of the bonus points the check-in/out date or the date the bonus points posted?

(I'm relying on the bonus points to get Points Club Plus but the points won't post until after the end of my membership year, so will need a 'plan B' if it's the date posted.)
 
I have had 2 of my three bookings come through. Two from early August have been processed. The third was for a stay at the end of August. All three were legitimate stays I had already planned at hotels in the USA, all booked with Qantas Hotels vouches as well, making the cost paid and points earned better value than booking direct with the hotels.

All three transactions have the activity date of when the bonus points were posted (5 Sep).
 
I’ve had mixed results

The first booking 30 July arrived 31 August with the bonus points on 5 September (with a date of the 4th)

The other booking for 2 August arrived 5 September. The bonus points have yet to post (perhaps in the next couple of days)
