Silly question and I'm sure the answer is yes, but can anyone confirm that the 50% bonus SCs will still be applied to a booking paid from QF vouchers?

I'm hoping I can squeeze my upcoming J LHR flight in within the 7 days once work confirms dates.

Hmm, that can be tricky. I can get our product specialist to take a look for you. Can you please send me a message with the bookings you made?

Red Roo

They have not been applied for subsequent re issue of gift cards but were applied on the first use.

I rang the QFF team who said I should be ok to use the voucher which will be issued for this promotion provided I comply with the other T&Cs . I have PM'd Red Roo so will hopefully receive confirmation of this.

I just received one of the 50% more status credits offers.
As a point of reference, I requalified as WP at the end of August, 6 months into my membership year.

Oscarq, will the offer help you to achieve the next status level? (assuming you took it up)

I was surprised to get one

I received this today as well. I requalified for WP in July but my membership anniversary isn't until 30th September and so in the email sent to me, it was geared to "allow" me to reach P1.
Luckily I've got a bit of business travel between October and December this year that I haven't booked yet.

Just received my offer. WP already with anniversary end Nov. Don't think i'll be able to make P1 .. but will help me get LTG earlier than expected.

Received. I'm 15 SC away from Plat re-qual with bookings for another couple of hundred SC before my year ending in March 17.

Pimping for P1 membership? I've got too many points that need burning to worry about P1....

Australia's highest-earning Velocity Frequent Flyer credit card: Offer expires: 21 Jan 2025

- Get unlimited Virgin Australia Lounge access

I doubt I'll get offered this as I used the DSC promo earlier in the year, but it would be nice.

I need just 25SC before my 31-Oct reset that it looks like I will have to pay for. Cheapest I can see is SYD-TMW-SYD $218.00 return for 30SC (with the 50% bonus) = $7.27/SC.

The question is, can I check in for both the depart and return sectors at the same time (and basically walk off the plane, and back into the boarding queue - only a 20min turnaround), or do I have to get the return boarding pass when I am there (which presumably means I have to wait for the next flight, the soonest being 3hrs later)?

Use OLCI and walk in terminal turn left, go through security and back on plane. With any luck you will be through security before the plane is empty.

Steady, have flights to & in USA already booked for Dec/Jan which will move Mrs Oscarq & I to WP. No other flight requirement this year so will not use 50% offer. Utlized the previous 100% offer in August DXB/MEL J with a points upgrade to F. Would be very happy with another points upgrade to F later this year. Service was exceptional from the QF crew.

Thanks for the info. I know there is a newish security system in place at Tamworth, but I rather expected airside to include arrivals and departures. Oh well!

New Zealand based and received a 50% offer today. My only current booking with QF is Y+ to HKG in March/April 2017.

Booking: 13-19 Sep
For Flights: 13 Sep 16 - 11 Jan 17

I don't need it to requalify SG as I'll have 665 SCs by 31 March anniversary so probably not cost effective to aim for WP.

@redRoo - would be great if Qantas initiated a system whereby customers can request a Double Status offer when available, if not previously targeted to automatically receive one. With potential pending flights to book, it could be the deciding factor to help me make that booking decision quickly & naturally which airline I choose. Why should some loyal customers miss out?

Ha, I can't see this ever happening.

I can't see it every happening either, but more SCs would certainly increase the value in booking QANTAS vs another airline especially for those of us who are not yet LTG and for whom attaining that at some point is realistic.

But then you'd only need to fly half as much (assuming a double status credit offer) in order to attain/keep a status tier. Don't think this is a sustainable, or desirable, business practice for an airline.

Controversial statement right there. It would be nice in an ideal world but it would just create more elites and lead to further degradation of benefits.

I think we should be thankful for any status boosting tools rather than just double point offers that other airlines offer.

As a side note, this offer was hardly targeted. Every QFF member had the opportunity to receive this email based on the early posts in the thread.
