Just found this in my inbox.

Dear Orca,

Your new Qantas Card with Qantas Cash activated is a great way to earn Qantas Points for purchases you make with your own money every day. And to prove it, we're offering you 500 bonus Qantas Points to get you started!*

To get 500 bonus points, simply:
1.Register by clicking on the link below by 31 December 2013;
2.Activate your Qantas Cash facility within 30 days of registering for the promotion; and
3.Load at least AU $250 or equivalent in foreign currency in one transaction by 30 January 2014.

Just received it this afternoon also, perhaps it's time to register.

Received too. 500 points vs nothing & I was going to sign up eventually anyway
Now, where the heck did I stash it ???!

K

It's also 500 points to activate a card already received.

Also received this as never bothered to register when I first received the card.
Am going to NZ in Jan 2014 so will register now to get 500 points.
Unexpected bonus.

Hmmm.

Anyone read point 3 in the email? 500 bonus points are not worth that much to me....

Put the $250 in, take the $250 out, and shake it all about.

But it will be in a foreign currency. That's isn't going to happen in Australia unless you're at an International airport. And then there's the associated fees.

Suggest you read what it says. Refer to dictionary for the definition of 'or'.

Off to HKG early next year so decided to take up the offer and put a few shekels in and convert them to $HKD.
