5000 Bonus Points for Additional Cardholder

try giving them a call. I didn’t receive any pop-ups, but called anyway and the offer was on my edge and explorer accounts. Applied on the spot for additional cards over phone.

received an email regarding this and here is the T&C regarding credited bonus points

"5,000 bonus Qantas Points will be awarded to the Primary Card Member's Account 8 – 10 weeks after the offer ends (31 July 2019)."

yeah, bit strange why this promotion will take so long to credit points. Amex are usually a lot more swift with the majority of their other offers.

I only got this targetted email yesterday so added the max of 4 supp cardholders. I only skimmed the ts and cs as OS on phone but didn't see where it was limited to only one lot of 5k per card. Anybody have any insights on this?

The basic Card Member will be liable to pay for all transactions made by Additional Card Members 2. The Primary Card Member will receive 5,000 Bonus Points when they apply for an Additional Card by 22 June 2019, and the Additional Card Member spends $500 on eligible purchases by the 31st of July 2019. This offer is limited to the first approved Additional Card. Eligible purchases do not include cash advances, interest, balance transfers, fees and charges for travellers cheques and foreign currencies. 5,000 Bonus Points will be awarded to the Primary Card Member's Account 8 – 10 weeks after the offer ends (31 July 2019). This advertised offer is not applicable or valid in conjunction with any other advertised or promotional offer​

More unfortunately, lost the ability on the next round of supp offers. Anyways, all good for ShopSmall bonuses or cash backs.

Have just noticed that bonus has come through on Explorer and Edge .. so a little earlier than expected.

I was wondering where my points were then just saw the post above with the T's and C's and didn't realise you had to spend $500 on the supp card - so I better get onto that Snappy Tom.

Just waiting on the second lot (unfortunately that’s the card I want to cancel to start the 18 months on the bench again. But good planning / marketing on AMEX’s behalf, it’s kept me as a customer for longer)

I called when the offer was on my husband’s account but not mine to be told it was targeted so not available for me. A month-ish later I received the offer via email.

Despite that, I reckon it’s worth a call!
