We arrived at Grosvenor House at 6.30am. I had used my Your24 to get a 9am check in but it was ready when we arrived. I will take some more of the outside and foyer later but this is the room. Deluxe Suite 9008 in tower 1 for those that like a reference room to request.

MrsMoin is having issues with the bath towels. This is her standing on her tippy toes with arms outstretched holding the towel. :) to those 7' giants around, they will fit you.

It was brought up on FT that this hotel has one of the best lounges in the world. However, it is also only available to those in tower 2 with rooms that have executive lounge access. By default, platinums do not have access to it. When I asked about it at the front desk, he pointed out another swipe card and said that if possible they will always give platinums access to it. Seems to be a way of covering themselves if the place is full. We'll duck through and take photos later on.

Will follow this TR with interest. We're having short stopover in Dubai on the way back home next week.
Will also fly EY F and ATM booked Sheraton Grand P+P Flexi booking (also using suite certificate). Have to say your hotel choice seems to be very good value for what you've payed, hope you'll get lounge access.

We headed over to level 5 for a top up breakfast. Ours had been at 3am Dubai time. All I can say is WOW!! I can see why everyone rates it one of the best in the world. It was as good as most 5star buffets. And it was a club lounge.

Thought that room shot came out better. Anyway today we headed to Sloanes for breakfast assuming we would just head over to Level 5 for a top up. Was I wrong. I think this is the best buffet I have ever seen.

So yesterday we took the shuttle to mall of the emirates. I started taking photos but I had already hit about 40 and we had only covered 10% of the place. Safe to say, it is huge and pretty much anything and everything you want is there. It isn't cheap though. Most things we looked at were about 20% more than at home. Every major brand seemed to be represented.

And then they have this, which is where we are spending today.

You only need to buy gloves, everything else is provided, so bring your gloves or buy them from the shop inside. Will have more photos later.

One thing I have to recommend to anyone stopping in Dubai is skidubai. The price is pretty good. 300aed for an all day ski pass. They provide pants, jacket, skis, poles and for the young ones, helmets. They don't provide gloves or goggles. They do provide socks but they are terrible. We spent 6 hours there and would have done more if we weren't meeting friends for dinner.

So we headed back to the hotel to get ready and while waiting headed over to pre dinner drinks at Level 5. A very important data point. alcohol is insanely expensive in Dubai. That made this even more interesting
