I got the email. WP didn't. Neither of us have bookings or flown since at least March.

Had our Qantas 727 Trolley for 15 years, has all Boeing plates and numbers, its 30 years old. Had a mate who worked in catering, he got it for us, however it was all banged up and ready for tip, so we did some panel beating, fixed wheels, added some stickers and it looks like this now.

We found it impossible to remove the balance of the super hard powder coating on the bar shell, so we used a stick on Vinyl from china, Qantas stickers from USA and various airline draws from eBay.

I have flown this year domestically, my sister and husband both WP have flown this year (for business) and no email either. Must have been really random.

You have joined our newbie party. Thanks. Any tips? Things you would do differently? Would spray paint work on these things? Fixed wheels - so would it be easy to replace the wheels with those from say Bunnings? Although I have some nice ones from Ikea. I'm guessing maybe these may be in somewhat better nick and come with trays so hopefully not as banged up.

PS - we used your reference on your thread to click through to Amazon to see your NY print and found a fabulous print we have ordered for our apartment - we have been looking for similar for months!
Now, when will they arrive....

Our cart was very worn and spray painting not possible due the thickness of powder coating left in places, tried coating removal services but did not work reason we covered it in vinyl, also we were a bit too eager and should have replaced the wheels before filling it up.

Yes those 3D wall papers can look so good, like being there. Here is one of ours...

The email I received as P1 says the following:

"You have received this email because you are subscribed to Qantas Frequent Flyer 'Exclusive food and wine offers from Qantas Wine' emails."

So maybe people not signed up to receive Qantas Wine marketing did not receive the email?

Mine says "because you are subscribed to Qantas Frequent Flyer 'Exclusive offers for Qantas Frequent Flyer members' emails. If you would prefer not to hear about exclusive offers and news from Qantas Wine for next 12 months, click here."

I've ordered the Qantas stickers similar to Limewood's as well from USA on ebay - mikes902652011 (2495)

I am signed up for Qantas Wine offers, am WP and didn't get the email but I don't live in a capital city. Should mention I did fly interstate in June.

I just checked the email and saw this:

"You have received this email because you are subscribed to Qantas Frequent Flyer 'Exclusive offers for Qantas Frequent Flyer members' emails."

for the s&g survey:

- email (P1)
- not been on QF since Feb
- no future bookings

so eh.. I honestly think it's the usual Consistently Inconsistent(tm) but who knows. Given they were trying to flog stuff (I wonder if they figured it would be as popular as it was) so it makes little sense to not send email to all.

The only thing I would add is that the P1 email was specific saying they were holding 100 (IIRC) carts aside for P1's to purchase as a apparent perk. A little different to the general "hey buy our bar carts" thing.

I didn't buy.

If you missed out on a full size cart there is currently one on ebay. It is half the QF price, however there is a but - no wine, nuts, tim tams or PJ's included and the postage is only around $3700 to AU. Just putting it out there in case you missed out on the QF sale. ;) :p:p:p
