Hi all, achieved a rare double today, finally hit LTG and also requalified for P1 , all on a lowly 10SC flight MEL- SYD

I still have 6.5 months to o in my year but apart from pure points what is left to chase?

Should I look a pumping some effort into Singapore airlines, who would be quiet usable as I do a lot of J flights around Asia, I think I could wrap up PPS by the end of this calendar year, but currently I have no status at all with them.

Do SQ status match? I would easily be able to demonstrate potential value to them..

Thoughts and experiences appreciated.

Unfortunately I can't offer much info at that end of the stick, but wanted to say congrats all the same!

I hope you haven't done 360 MEL-SYD type flights in (Oh dear God) whY to get to P1?!?!? :-)

A WP colleague of mine, with a lot less flying than you, was status matched about 18 months ago. So worth a try I would think.
Though if you're mostly flying J the transition shouldn't be too painful anyway.

Congrats.
I'm facing the same dilemma. I'll do the LTG/P1 requal in 3 weeks time with 5 months of my membership year left.
I have enough travel planned to Europe and the US to get reasonable status with SIA, but will probably stick with QF as I quite like having the P1 'angels' looking over my travel should things go wrong and there's more of a chance of an Opup to F. If a status match was on the table however......

Hi, I agree the OP up to F is always on the cards with P1, but most of my trips are on A330 2 class flights and I'm already sitting in 1E.

Will let you know if i am successful trying to get a status match with SQ, I presume that it would only be to Kris Flyer Gold, doubt if they would stretch to PPS match, but if you don't ask, you'll never know.

Fair point on the A330's. The 3 class 747's also eliminate the potential perk on a lot of routes.

Agree, PPS isnt that painful to get and very useful to have.

They allow you to load a particular seat in your profile, something the constant traveller would find advantageous, familiarity!!
