As some of you might be aware, my father passed away 1 day before his 80th birthday (a bit over two years ago).
My mum and Dad were living the dream (as usual) and travelling this great continent that many of us choose to call home and were, at the time, travelling and camping in the the Kimberley's, in Australias fabulous North-West.
It mattered not, which part of the globe they wandered......they've been to a lot of it....... but moreso what they discovered. My parents were the travellers I was inspired to be..... open-minded, inquisitive, explorative and accepting. The quintessential wanderers, yet devoted family people!
I'm eternally grateful to QF for their inspiring treatment of my mother when dad passed and I could never be critical of their awe-inspiring performance in the face of an "incident". QF went beyond what I would expect of a commerial airline. Congrats QF!
But I'm not writing this bit of history for sentimentality reasons.....
I'm writing it becuse it was my mum's birthday today.......her 80th!
.........but also to thank the AFF community for the unbelievable support we rececieved upon Dads death.
Mum was used to travel, yet she fell into a hole when Dad died. That "hole" was filled with the support from AFF.
Buzz and Aeolus were great...so too was Buzz's +1 and all the other AFFers on that "Buzz's epic Clare Valley" wine bus extraordinaire tour!
Anyhow...thanks guys and gals.....you did indeed help!......who said computers were rubbish??......Oh yes, it was Mum!
