A suggestion to Qantas and Jet Star

Almost everyone here needs to take a step back and look at how they reacted to a first time poster and how he got flamed beyond belief.

I am almost ashamed to be involved with a group of people who wont allow a person to have his say (regardless how absurd it is) without bordering insulting or offering anything apart from insults to what he found to be a disturbing event - his flight ex PER.

Absolute disgrace

I think it is a bit different when someone who has never posted before comes in ranting about what should be done on a plane. It amounts to barging into a conversation ranting off without even introducing yourself.

Certainly he is entitled to his views, but it seems no one was agreeing and having just looked over the posts again i would say he got "agitated" at first before people went off.

Anyway as someone commented earlier "we don't talk about the war"

And in the meantime i will continue to take my daughter flying in which ever part of the cabin i choose!

I did predict his comments would be taken the wrong way pretty early on, but he kept ranting even after others gave their views and started poking holes in his theory.

Plus, what does it matter if he’s new here, most people that post here have lurked for a while and learnt what views people have before posting, so I don’t see why he couldn’t have ;)

And he was offered some advice about how to deal with parents of disruptive children, the thing most took offence to, as they always do here and could easily be seen through a simple search, is segregation of kids, when lots of the kids here travel in the premium cabins anyway.

And ultimately, people get flamed here for their views all the time. I know I’ve been on the end of it several times, and it’s hardly chased me away.

Maybe so. But then the insult were outbound and inbound. No excuse but I was fairly insulted at having my suggestion for dealing with the situation turned into an accusation that I'm a bad parent who leaves my unruly children to be dealt with by others. That insults my parenting skills and it insults my children who I've seen suffer painful pressure changes without a single noise.

I'm all for absurd ideas. I have plenty myself.

......they have a first class why Not a Family Class, with Games seats ! ;)

So we need a First Class, Family Class, F@rt Class, body Fumes Class, Fat Class, Funny Class etc. That should leave a row or two just behind the emergency exits for the rest, which we can call Fussy Class. Puts a whole new perspective on a FF program.

LOL, this has to be the Response Of The Week Award or ROTWA ;)

Why ANYBODY replying to someone who has a grand total of two posts AND posting about something that is obviously just a trolling vent of their own bad experience.

You always have options :

1. Noise cancelling headphones
2. Drink heavily to pass out
3. Medicate to pass out
4. Buy every other seat on the plane and individually offer them to pax 15 years or older
5. Fly private plane
6. Invent teleportation
7. Start your own bloody airline where you can make the rules.

I wouldn't recommend option 2.

Just put them on a different plane to you :

Airline sorry for putting kids on wrong flights | News.com.au
DELTA Airlines has blamed a paperwork mix-up for sending two children to the wrong cities as they flew under the airline's unaccompanied minors program.

Delta said the children were connecting through Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, US on Tuesday when they were put on the wrong connecting flights because of a "paperwork swap."

 Almost everytime these days I am seated next to or very near a crying or unruly Child , I believe for safety reasons all Families with young children should be in the rear of the Aircraft , Close to the toilets, Close to the " Large" easy to exit Rear doors, first to get out ! and close to the rear service area, for bottle warming and Chuck buckets , with a curtain as is done with 1st Class ,closing off the last four rows , this would make the main body of the aircraft more comfortable and restful place for some of us who use air travel for work regularly and often over long distances, Its a simple solution to keep Most passagers Happy :D

Like others, disagree with you completely.

If you do indeed need peace as much as you imply it might be worth spending the extra on a business seat. The economy section by its very nature is "down the back" and complies with your wish. (just happens to be a large back )

Actually on reflection what the OP is suggesting may have merit.

Special section at the back for children, and just for children, parents drop them off there and enjoy a stress free flight, have it supervised by child care qualified FA. And then I am sure the airline could install special smaller seats, perhaps fitting 8 across on a 737 and reducing seat pitch to 25" ..... ;)

Basically like a day care centre in the sky?

Riiiiiight... Hmmm. If other pasengers are such an issue, perhaps a chartered aeroplane might be more appropriate than taking public services

Spot on Dave, to aquaman69 (some reference to going down perhaps, sorry if that offends:cool:) public transport is a great idea, it's just the public bit he doesn't like.

Most of the time children on flights do not bother me although they will affect different people in different ways.

The ones that bothers me the most are the spoilt brats that the parent(s) cannot control. Luckily this does not happen very often and there are other solutions such as finding a seat somewhere else or grab a parachute....
