A tale of two children (in J)

You haven't met my daughter. ;)
Your correct I have not meet your daughter. For the record I have no issues with children of any age in J or F, my daughter has been travelling at the pointy end since she was less than one. I personally do not care if a family is travelling on points, upgrades or straight out cash, most of my comments that were deleted were targeted at other posters who made comments along the line that children should be banned from the pointy end, that is just nonsense.

I have a question for the gurus here - for booking Award Seats for kids (4-10 yr olds), do we usually book an Adult ticket only? Or some award programs are better in this regard & allow cheaper points to be used?

As some airline tickets have cheaper pricing for kids... so what's the best thing to do - Buy or Redeem?

You book for a child/adult depending on their ages. The points cost is the same, but it's the taxes that are cheaper for children.

We have travelled in J with our children many times to Europe and Asia since they were young. They love it and so do we, they get loads of attention.

I couldn't care less what the other passengers thought, I love travelling with my kids and want to share all the experiences with them. I do understand, however, that some children don't enjoy travelling at all (fair enough) and have seen some wild, crazy, self-entitled, downright rude behaviour in lounges from both unchecked children and adults. The mind boggles!

going all the way to toronto with our 2.5yo in J tomorrow.
taking the loooong way around to break it up. SYD SIN TPE YYZ

flying SQ, EVA including the hello kitty plane

Made it to SIN, here for a couple of days.
Our son was great 99%. By landing time he just didn't want to sit still with seat belt on. Barely any noise from him. There was another kid there, 1yo who was little more noisy. J was half empty.

Last night we had 2 little ones in J on the 737 from SYD- MEL and they were perfect.
I would never say anything on board a plane about the little people.
Perhaps that passenger thought he was very important......

And we're back home. Great trip and I was really impressed with my son's behaviour on board. He got so much attention from all the FA and he just lapped it up and gave them a cheeky smile lol.

I chose the rear section of J everytime so we had Y pax passing up during boarding and we got some great reactions from fellow pax as they walked past our 2.5yo sitting there in a huge J seat all alone lol. One lady even said, "wish I was sitting where you are" haha. Others just waved to him, said hi, smiled and carried on.

4 of our 6 flights meant he was asleep most of the time. Gave me a chance to enjoy a sneaky coughtail :D

We had no rude pax in J on any flight. All Lovely and all waved to him and said hi at least once.

Next trip, Europe next year I think.. couple more years before he starts school.. Have to make the most of it before that
