Hi there,
I booked US domestic flights (American Airlines) using QF points, economic seats. Do I have any checked baggage allowance ? I don't, then how can I buy/pay for it ? Thx.

Log into the AA website using your AA booking number. It is shown there.

Also, QFF Silver and above have at least one baggage allowed without extra charge.

I have a CR booking coming up (SFO-JFK) and the QF app is stating “zero” bags but as QF Plat, I should be fine.

As above, if you have any OW status, that will bestow some allowance. Otherwise, go to AA (website or app) and purchase baggage before flying or at the airport (not sure, but at the airport might be more expensive).

Nothing there either for my booking. It says come back within 2-24hr hours prior.

For US domestic flights, it is $40 for the first checked bag, $45 for the 2nd and $150+ for 3rd+. You get $5 discount off the first bag if you pay online (can only pay online between 2 and 24 hours prior to flight - when online check in is open).

You get 1 free bag if you have AA Gold or oneworld Ruby status, 2 free bags with AA Platinum or oneworld Sapphire (or confirmed premium travel classes) and 3 free bags if you have AA Executive Platinum or Platinum Pro or oneworld Emerald.

I'm currently waiting to board an AA domestic flight that I booked using QFF points, and last night when I tried to pre-pay for a bag both their website and app gave me the attached error telling me it was not possible for that ticket, despite it being an AA flight number and not a codeshare.

Hopefully others have more luck than me as I was slugged the full fee of $40 USD at the airport.

To be honest, I was shocked that a partner award included no baggage. But I just did a dummy LAX to DFW booking and QF makes it completely clear for both the fact there is no included baggage and that it can only be bought at the airport:

Presumably it’s an AA thing? Pretty sure it never used to be that way?

Fortunately I have status for an upcoming CR flight so bags not an issue and they’ve given MCE access.
