I have a CR booking coming up (SFO-JFK) and the QF app is stating “zero” bags but as QF Plat, I should be fine.Hi there,
I booked US domestic flights (American Airlines) using QF points, economic seats. Do I have any checked baggage allowance ? I don't, then how can I buy/pay for it ? Thx.
Nothing there either for my booking. It says come back within 2-24hr hours prior.Log into the AA website using your AA booking number. It is shown there.

For US domestic flights, it is $40 for the first checked bag, $45 for the 2nd and $150+ for 3rd+. You get $5 discount off the first bag if you pay online (can only pay online between 2 and 24 hours prior to flight - when online check in is open).Hi there,

I'm currently waiting to board an AA domestic flight that I booked using QFF points, and last night when I tried to pre-pay for a bag both their website and app gave me the attached error telling me it was not possible for that ticket, despite it being an AA flight number and not a codeshare. You get $5 discount off the first bag if you pay online (can only pay online between 2 and 24 hours prior to flight - when online check in is open).
Presumably it’s an AA thing? Pretty sure it never used to be that way?To be honest, I was shocked that a partner award included no baggage. But I just did a dummy LAX to DFW booking and QF makes it completely clear for both the fact there is no included baggage and that it can only be bought at the airport:

Could do what the locals do. Get a big "roll-aboard" bag and cram it full that it ends up being gate checked for free. Thanks everyone for your replies.
I have used QFF points to book other partner flights before and always have baggage allowance included, even with budget airline like Jetstar.
This is the 1st time I've booked with AA and Qantas site shows 0 baggage allowance. I have no status whatsoever, so it's more likely I have to pay for it.
Will have to check in around 24hrs before the flight to buy then...
