Does anyone know if you earn VA status credits on a AC ticketed flight operated by UA? I can't seem to find any specific answer although VA does reference status credit earn with AC is on AC operated flights.

In the same scenario would Velocity Platinum have access to a Maple Leaf Lounge?

Thinking about some of my other flights, if I put my VA number down I think I will earn per the UA tables.

What would the flight number(s) be?

It's flight UA2423 and ticketed on 014.
It's a United flight number so you get United entitlements including lounge access aligned to your status level.

If it was issued as an Air Canada flight number (codeshare) you wouldn't get entitlements.

(I have a Qatar ticket with QR flights, but one flight is Air Canada with an AC flight number so I'll get the AC entitlements.)

Just looking at the ticket, it shows an AC flight number however is operated by UA (so one of their codeshares). The ticket also says Air Canada's baggage rules apply with a price for the 1st and 2nd baggage.

Checking the trip in AC it says: Your trip includes a flight with another airline. United Airlines: To view your booking on United Airlines please click on this link to select your seats and other optional services.

Checking the trip in AU it says bags are prepaid and the 1st bag is $0 per traveller.
