Hi everyone,
Has anyone had any recent experience with the Accor best price guarantee?

I can’t find any recent threads, however 5 years ago it appears that this was a difficult task to have honoured.

Early last month I booked a room, which I found cheaper on another site, I submitted the claim, but was rejected - the other site had the same room name, however they listed the bed as a double instead of a queen (both listed as queen rooms), I cancelled and rebooked for a room where I could match everything exactly (more expensive), and lodged a new claim.

This was accepted after a few days, however I am now doing a run arroyos trying to get the discount actually applied! All I get is we are looking into it.

Anyone actually get this lot to honour anything?

I booked Mercure in Queenstown some time ago and last night saw the same room is a $200 cheaper. They wont make up the difference. Im Diamond.

It’s ridiculous, I have them stating on email they agree to the best price guarantee on my claim, but cannot get them to actually apply it to the booking, just keep getting we are contacting the hotel, and then finally they are now telling me to contact the hotel myself, who have promptly stated that I haven’t attached the documents (send in via webform 6+ weeks ago).

Sick or going round in circles.

May as well book somewhere else and cancel this one at the last available moment and hope they don’t fill the room in time.

Now may be the time to email Accor legal ([email protected]) warning them that not honouring their stated policies may be a violation of Australian Consumer law along with fair trading laws of the state you reside. You should tell them that you will give them one week to apply the best price guarantee to your booking and that failure to do so will result in you reporting them to both the ACCC and your state's fair trading office. You should also request that they provide you with 4000 bonus Accor points as a gesture of goodwill given the time you spent chasing this down.

I have previously had some success with it, but lately they always come up with some nit-picking reason to reject it.

Wondering if anyone has had success lately with this and also if it's "any 3rd party sites". Some pretty big price gaps on sites like priceline to accor for some of the places i'm looking at.
