Unfortunately, I've made almost all my Vietnam bookings, including executive lounge access, but the rooms with lounge access are not much more than standard rooms, so I'm not too fussed.

They should upgrade you to something nicer again rather than from a standard room to an exec room. You’ve taken the standard to exec upgrade out of play.

This shows it's worth not giving up immediately when promised benefits are not delivered.

Do double check with the hotel by email perhaps a week prior to your arrival to check your Platinum status is recorded on your reservations correctly. Occasionally it's not but most often the system should pick up.

I may get in touch with you in March, as my membership was setup on the 29th of a month, and February will only have 28 days, so I'll have to see what happens at the end of this month/start of next month regarding if my points/status posts.
